2005 4.7L VVt throttle position sensor??? High idle.

Hello everyone. This may seem like a silly question but does my 2005 Tundra double cab limited 4.7L have a serviceable TPS( throttle position sensor)? I ask because I cannot find the part listed anywhere. When I search, all that comes up is a complete throttle body. Is the TPS part of the throttle body and not serviceable? I have a higher than usual Idle and wanted to replace the TPS. Obviously I can't replace what I can't find!!!! Thanks for your help.

How high does your truck idle? And u are correct the tps is on the throttle body. Does your truck have a throttle cable or is it fly by wire? Right around that year they changed iirc. I'm also very tired at the moment lol....

 

It does have the throttle by wire. The idle starts off around 1200 then eventually (about 10 minutes) drops to around 8-900, which is still high. Thank you for your help.

 

Sounds normal to me, that's what mine idles at. Do u have a check engine light?

 

No check engine light. Just seems high to me. Thankis.

How long does yours idle at the 1200 mark before dropping down?

 

Well it would all depend on the exterior temp. This morning it was 11 degress and it idled at 1500 or so for 5 mins, then I drove away... never cane down to 800.

Okay. Thanks. I'll quit worrying about it then. While you're online. Can I program my rear window to roll down with a remote fob that has that option? Like the same year Sequoia remote?
