They have tested it many times. They say it is right in th middle! I have often thought that as well. My cortisol levels are normal. Every test comes back normal! Except, ferritin, it’s always elevated along with iron stores but doctors seem to blow it off?? I think it’s an issue because I’ve read up on it.

But, I will say I agree with your apprehension. I am no fan of sticking something in my body. Especially long term.

Damn man, hate to see this happen to you. Praying and hoping you get it sorted out soon without medicine and screwing up your body.
Wish I knew more that could help!

Exactly why I opted out taking a pill to regrow my hair.

Doc said “only 5% of men that take fenasteride (I think that’s what it was) lose their sex drive” me- “oh ok, cool” I get home and research it. Turns out 95% of those 5% never get it back.

    Aaaaand that’s a no

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of that, but isn’t there a doc that specializes in that you can go see? Obviously you’re thinking like me, exhaust every option before taking the replacement T.

Dude... NEVER take Finasteride. That stuff is second to none in destroying mens hormones. Dr's believe the single pill I took back in college was the tipping point for my struggles. We fought my hormones for about 5 years pre TRT. Finally gave up, and am on injections now. I go with an every other day routine, over 6 years, so thats only a couple thousand shots :)

If only the doctor gave you a placebo regimine for a 6 month period and said no side effects.. i wonder what impact it would have on you.

Anywho. consult a few endocrinologists, not tundra junkies lol. Theres plenty of people on TRT, and plenty of "famous" actors and fighters that have been on it. Just do your research and find the people that are actually in the KNOW about it.

Sure, lifting heavy, cutting carbs and sugars, and eating red meats will increase T naturally but if you're endocrine system isn't functioning normally - it wont do shit.

Very well said. The conversation of TRT pains me in both directions - when perfectly healthy guys get on it just for giggles, and when guys with failing endocrine systems get crucified for using it to survive.

So I’m no medical doctor but I have researched this before. There is a big TRT clinic in town that originated out of Hawaii. They have branches in a couple other states as well. Anyway my first idea was to go there since free testing for military,Leo, emt etc. I ended up going to a different doctor and got levels tested. Turns out I was “normal”. Ended up needing vitamin D.
While going through this I “learned” a couple things: high levels can present symptoms like low levels, and just because you are “normal” could mean you are really low for yourself.
Also there are more types of treatment then just injections. Treatment is prescribed depending on the individual situation.
I am still looking into this and personally not opposed to a shot. I’m about to be 36, I follow a powerlifting program and lift 4 days a week and do cardio 3 times a week. My diet is decent I follow macros about 75% of the time currently. But I’m not happy with where I am at.

If you are an individual that is looking for more “natural” ways to fix then I would look into getting tested every 6 months and see what is actually going on. Also the amount insurance covers has a lot to do with the reason for the visit. Maybe you just say you have no sex drive any more.

I was in denial initially so I did all this for about a year and it didn't do shit. Hell, I didn't want to leave the bed as I was tired all the time. T Replacement therapy helps.

You’ll live longer if you can get that down to 120/70. Pickup a digital cuff at Costco, and check it just after getting out of bed in AM. Lots of things can spike the BP, including being in a DR’s office. Be healthy, be safe.

The scale on that form is outdated and that is now considered hypertension. Blueline is correct 120's would be much better. Getting that 80 down is not that bad and diastolic is much harder to lower without meds. And just for reference I am a Murse...yep that means I'm a Focker!

Also while it's not the highest it can be, hypertension has a cumulative effect on your organs causing damage over time that can lead to other health problems. And the meds to treat it can lead to ED as well over time.

I kind of felt like this was the perfect place to ask. A lot of guys my age that may be going through the same shit and I don’t really give two shits if I’m judged on it. I can’t help what’s going on. I’m not asking what people think I should do more of have people gone down this road and has it helped. So far people have been great!
But, I’m always down for some Tundra talk! Sitting in mine as we speak..

Gotcha.. most of these dudes probably haven't had TRT and see a stigma surrounding it.. i would say visit a few endocrinologists and see what they tell you your best options are.

Take you some Arginine to get that BP down. It's a supplement to help relax the blood vessels, thus lowering your BP a touch.
