got mine on this past weekend, decided to go on and roll with 35x12.5x17 after looking at some trucks on here and talking with several members. I cut my cab mounts, trimmed the skid a hair, and tucked the liner forward. it was pretty easy really, i had done the same on my tacoma. i love the way it looks.

I saw in another post you were looking at 315/70/17 is that what you ended up going with and bfg’s? I’m looking at the same set up with a 3” lift

Yes they’re the 315/70-17. Wish I went 35/12.5 17 though. Bfs measure small. My wife has true 35/12.5’s on her jeep and there noticeably bigger then mine.

No rubbing? I assume all you did was remove mud flaps? Can mount chop? I really wanna avoid that one

And if I remember correctly per bfgs web site the 35x12.5’s are only .1” bigger than what they say there 315/70 measure

Mud flaps on front and I just removed my front bumper liner. Others trim theirs but I’m not keeping this bumper do dont care really. And no cmc needed

there is really nothing to cutting the cab mounts. i cut mine on my tacoma and never boxed them back in, drove it that way for 150,000 miles before i sold it.
at first i didn't want to do it on the tundra, but i wanted bigger tires more, so i cut the tundra also. it is easy to do with a hand held grinder and the thin cutting wheel, takes 3 to 5 minutes each side, taking my time.
at some point i will get the tundra boxed back in, but right now it has holes, i just soaked them with paint so they won't rust.

I think it depends on your area Midwest/west in the deserts ya you’d prolly be fine but around here in the northeast specifically ny they drop copious amounts of salt on the roads. We’ll see what happens if it needs to be done I’ll prolly end up doing it but if I can avoid it I’d tather avoid it. Thanks for the info much appreciated.

    How much was this setup?

I am looking at putting a 4" lift (I have no idea which lift will give a smoother ride over the stock...very little off road..mostly road and deep snow..so if anyone has any ideas please let me know) on my Tundra because I want these size tires and Titanium Icon wheels like this.

I can kinda ball park it:

    Up front:
King Coilovers up front at 2.5-2.75" $1,450
    SPC UCA's $450

    Rear:
    Icon 2.0 shocks $120
    Wheelers Offroad AAL $85

love the way it looks and rides, it is basically my hunting, work on the farms truck, not my daily driver.

I have a set sitting in my garage. Just ordered tires, shop said Mon/Tues... look for pics next week! :)

I got bronze, putting 315/70-17 Toyo MTs on 'em.

    Ordered from SDHQ, thanks guys!

Quick pic, gotta get back to work. Rubbing on fender liner, bumper side. Overcast here, but color is pretty subtle anyway, definitely not "gold" looking.

Removed inner plastic liner cover (fog cover area), now just rubs the skid plate at full lock. TRD Offroad stock skid plate.

Just leveled with the PRO suspension. So I guess that's about 2.5" in front.

I have these wheels and 315/70r17 tires. What are people doing for spares with this setup? I'm fine running an 18 wheel and either 35x12.5 or 315/70 tire as they are close enough to each other. Stock rims at +60 are gonna rub with a 12.5ish wide tire right? What other 18" options do I have, that cost less than an icon? Or are most people buying 5-6 icons so this isn't an issue. Thanks for any ideas.
