I recently updated from my Gen 1 to the 2018 Double cab. Finally had a warm day Sunday and rolled down both rear door windows. As I got to about 40 mph, the airspace/air pressure inside the cab started to pulsate and actually bothered my hearing. The truck started to vibrate/shake slightly also. Once I rolled up the windows it stopped and was normal. So I probably sound like a whiner with this question but wanted to know if anyone else has the same issue. I searched the forum but nothing came up.

This pretty much happened in all my vehicles. Crack the front if you have to have the rears down an it will lessen it but not stop it. The higher you have the backs the less pulsating. Hope this helps

Yup. Every 4 door car I’ve ever owned does this.

Thanks for the replies and info. Somehow I've never experienced this, to this degree, in my other vehicles.

Yep, does the same when both front windows are open and rears are closed.

just crack the fronts a little, you'll be golden.

did you just start driving? holy moly, hahaha

it'll happen in any car that you have the rears only down in. you're creating a pressure differential between the outside and inside of your truck, like blowing over a coke bottle

It happens with all my vehicles, but it seems more violent in my trucks over my cars..

Does belittling someone asking a question make you feel better?

I hadn't noticed this until a few years ago in my tundra. It does seem to be more pronounced in a leveled truck than it does in a car. Never felt it in 16 years beforehand with a tacoma, accord, S10 or late 90's silverado.

    don't be that guy.

Sounded like a put down. Not something that flies with me

If you meant it as a joke, no harm done.

Agreed. We like to make fun of each other around here and crack jokes. But we try to keep it lighthearted. There’s plenty of other forums out there full of assholes. We don’t want to be that place. For the most part even the most redundant of threads you’ll find minimal belittling. More along the lines of really you didn’t search LOL? I’m sure the veterans of this site just quit responding to those threads. But that’s where newer guys aren’t impatient and will go ahead an answer for the newb.

I personally like, almost everyone I converse with around here. About 10 years ago when I first joined a forum it was like a foreign place to me. I really didn’t know how to navigate it and it didn’t help when people were dicks about it.

You see a forum and want to join because you would like to gain more information. And these places are a plethora of information. Sometimes you just need some guidance.
And I try to refrain from being mean to someone that doesn’t know much about cars. But I may make fun of them for it.

I’m also full of stupid questions.

    exactly my outlook!

we were all noobs at one point or another. Always a good time to poke fun at one another but there's a fine line between asshole and jokester!

a line we do like to frequent around here though! LOL

Stupid questions, thread hijacking, and fun times.......can't go wrong!
