It’s for a wedding, things get a little crazy leading up to the ceremony. :ballchain:
I got married a week after New Years, we didn’t even have time to celebrate New Years cause we were finalizing everything up until the day :spending:

Beers were $2.25 and since you can't drink the water, just keep drinking beer!

Nah, we took my friends Tacoma and probably could have, but there was so much to do as is!

Hahaha ironically he's a friend via tacomaworld.

Took us FOR-EV-ER to drive home, should have been a 5.5-6 hour drive, took 13 hours. Crossing the border at San Luis was a nightmare but we made it back safe so that's good!

Oh it was bad. We didn't realize we were "cutting" in line, but we merged into the line to wait for the border crossing. About an hour later we were a few cars from the front and out of no where the Mexican police came driving in super fast, came up to our truck and took my friends ID. They blocked us from going forward and basically forced us out of line. Then they said we're going to get a ticket for "merging illegally". We genuinely had no clue we made a mistake or there's a rule to enter the line from the back. I mean it makes sense, but we didn't realize we had cut into the line until we were in it. Anyways, they took his ID and told us to follow them to the police department. Took him out of the truck and started to tell him "you pay us $4000 pesos for your ticket or we're taking your license and you're going to jail" obviously he tries to reason with them and apologize. Google maps was our guidance and it told us where to go so we were simply following our maps. After a while he gets to negotiations and somehow manages to get off with paying $40 even though they kept saying we need to give them more money. Anyways he lets him go, we book it out of there and get into the back of the line. 3.5 hours later we finally cross the border at 11:30

Yeah. When I was a kid living in East County, we crossed over into Tecate every other weekend for fresh tortillas but now, hanging out in a 3rd world country where graft and bribes are acceptable (and you can just disappear) doesn't hold much appeal for me. ¡Es no bueno!

    I'm glad you're home, safe.

Oh yeah! It's sketchy. I'm glad we made it back!

And there's nothing we can do about it! What're we going to do, call the cops?

It made it much more difficult being that three of us spoke zero Spanish, and the driver speaks very little.

Those are the parents. She has laid eggs before but they were in a terrarium enclosure so the eggs were smashed before I could save them. Built them an outdoor enclosure after moving to the new house.

    What would you do?

If you had a $1,000 bucks, would you ...

    A. Get rims for your truck
    B. Get a vintage arcade game for your game room
    C. Put it in the savings because it's the grown up thing to do (this would bring your savings total to 1000 bucks )

It has old school games like pac man donkey kong etc ... I do have my Pro rims already which I like, I wish they would give me a better stance.

Haha I thought about that too, but I've read a lot of mixed reviews on wheel spacers and it might be no Bueno for off roading :(

"Cool Baby" = all these old school games for "almost free"! Money left over for wheels, er, I mean, savings.

Any bonus room is a BONU$$!! (My house is 1032 sq. ft. My Tundra feels bigger? :notsure:)

^ wheel spacers are no bueno if you buy them off ebay, a no name chinese brand, or they're not hub centric.

If you go with a quality set from spidertrax - http://www.spidertrax.com/2007-Up-Toyota-Tundra-Wheel-Spacers?sc=2&category=16190
These are cnc aluminum and very well made here in the US. They're also hub centric. If you properly thread lock and torque them to your hubs it would be very unlikely to run into any kind of an issue off road!

I'd go wheel spacers and vintage arcade game!

It's identical to the Smittybilt overlander tent.

As to CVT for example, I helped my buddy install his, the mounts and hardware are identical. The tent material is the same. They're very similar however the CVT is nicer. The zippers for one are more heavy duty and don't get hung up as often, it has some nice straps on the inside to hold the mattress and bedding down where as with tuff stuff we have to fold it in half and then close the tent.

No doubt CVT and Tepui are better, but are they worth the extra grand...?
