    Thanks, they are 275/70/18. I bought tires beforehand and these were largest I could fit without a lift.

    You are the only one I can find on this entire site who has actually done the OME Dakar leafs in the rear in addition to the OME's up front so you helped me greatly! I wouldn't be to concerned about the tire size. The larger you go the more gas they will eat/ and breaking performance goes down with to much extra weight from larger tires. If you decide to go larger I would look at some good lightweight aftermarket wheels to help keep weight down. How does she feel driving? Super stiff? Or solid and smooth?

    Well I am a Land Cruiser guy so I'm familiar with OME, glad I could help! I've never owned a 1/2t gas truck so I dont have much to compare to, it definitely firmed up the rear, was pretty soft stock. It's much more predictable and rides like a truck should IMO.

    Had the 614s, CB shackles, CB shims in the cart and was probably going to buy @showtime240 AAL...should’ve pulled the trigger...came home from work today to find out my wife bought a $4600 sofa/loveseat/recliner set. Ugh :angrygirl::annoyed: Oh well, guess my suspension re-do is on temporary hold.

    New Member here, looking at an OME lift for my 2010 Double Cab Tundra TRD.
    Question/Concern for members who have installed or had installed on TRD models
    most sites I have viewed the lift package on have some version of this statement
    "TRD models with rear swaybars will require end link modifications to retain swaybar operation"
    So my question is did this hold true for you and or how complicated of a modification process was it?

    Have you added a rear sway bar? Stock TRD models do not come with one. The only model that comes with a rear sway bar is TRD sports (2018 model).

    I installed OME 885 coils, shocks, and leaf springs on my 2015 Tacoma OR along with SPC UCAs, sway bar relocation bracket, drive shaft drop kit, and braided brake lines. All the parts were high quality. Unfortunately, I would not do it again. Never could eliminate the drivetrain vibration and it rides very rough. Speed bumps caused the front coils to extend and clank. In the end I bought a new Tundra and vowed to never mess with the suspension. Wanna buy a Tacoma...

    I was gonna say you got the wrong coils, but then I read that you had a Tacoma. I am not sure how much of that carries over to Tundras, but mine has none of the issues you mentioned. The ride is firm, but ride is actually very nice, I think. I would definitely do the OME set-up again.

    Hopefully a very easy question - could a simple guy (me) with some wrenches and a jack and jack stands install the ARB packaged OME kit? I assume you need to go to an alignment shop after, or is this true of anytime you mess around near your wheels?

    The only thing that is a one off tool would be the coil spring compression tool. The coils need to be compressed to remove the shock and grab a piece from the stock coil over. It’s like the top part of the coilover... alignment yes for sure.

    Ah I see, this is where I’ve heard of people using ratchet straps instead... I assume not a safe idea with so much compression force if one of those straps breaks

    @Proluke definitely not a safe idea for rachet straps haha. Another option is to get the distributor your buying it from to preassemble the ome coilovers with a new top piece. That’s what I did for simplicity sake. An extra $100. I’ll be building an install thread in a few weeks once mine arrives. I’ll tag ya in it if ya want
