Howdy all. Figured I'd start my build thread. I just picked up this beaut today. My wife and I are getting ready to buy a new house so I didn't want to get into a new truck note. My father in law had his 2007 Tundra with less than 80K miles sitting around collecting pollen. I bought it from him. Please forgive me if my Toyota lingo isn't up to snuff but it's a double cab SR5 4x4 with the 5.7L My plan is to create a truck that is a nice balance between something I can drive in Houston traffic and something I can enjoy tearing up on our 110 acres in east Texas.

Here she is... My blank slate. I will update as things change but I am warning you now - this will be a slow build as we have to get into our new house first.

I know there is a lot of Ford hate on here but I LOVED my F150. Here she is -

I like the tow mirrors on these trucks. They make them look so much better. If I could find some power, heated, power fold with BSM tow mirrors for a decent price I'd probably upgrade.

I've never had a need for tow mirrors but on this body style, they are DEFINITELY a nice upgrade! My father in law used to drag race so he needed them to tow his trailer. I don't need heated mirrors in Houston but the power fold would be nice. How easy is it to switch?

That will be my first upgrade as well - wheels and tires. But then I will need to lift it to fit. Then I will need this and then I will need that... The list goes on and on

Well, my first two "mods" are done! I had to ditch that 2007 technology and upgrade my head unit. Didn't need anything over the top - just needed bluetooth and HD radio. Went with a Pioneer AVH-1330NEX.

I also wanted to remove the factory radio tower, I mean antenna. Went with an 8" Autozone special
