Hi all... trading in our smaller truck (sienna xle awd) for a tundra and i am hung up on which one to go for. The final 2 are the Limited CM and the Limited TRD CM. I really like both of them but dont know which to go for. The price difference around here is around 900 or so and both are in super versatile and ultra fast black on black

Can you guys that have had experience with both flavors chime in to help me decide which trim will win?

I feel like the TRD is the way to go since i believe its better to have and not need it than to need it and not have it.

    Thanks in advanced

Trd package is not worth it if you're hanging around here The only thing you get is shocks and wheels... I'm pretty sure you'll be replacing them anyway within a year....

Hanging around here is the key

Trucknis capable stock as a TRD package. It would be the way to go if you don’t plan to lift it in the future. I got TRD cause I wasn’t sure if or when I would lift, but I eventually did and OEM shocks are sitting in my garage.

    Good luck with your decision.

As others have pretty much said: if you're planning on doing mods to suspension or adding new rims/tires, just get the non-TRD.

Just to confirm are they both four-wheel-drive? TRD doesn’t necessarily mean four-wheel-drive.

Get the TRD, the cool sticker alone is worth the money. And you get the better Bilstein shocks.

Go with the non TRD. Drive the truck for a while and do some research on aftermarket if you want to upgrade. Understanding how the truck feels and having a good idea how you will use it will help determine an ideal setup. You said $900 difference. Well, I’m $700 into mine which included 6112 front, 5100 rear. Vast improvement over OEM. And I got the added benefit of leveling my truck without spacers. I drove a TRD and it was a bit stiff on these crap roads where I live. Good luck!!

Is there a big price difference between Non TRD Limited vs. Platinum?

    Platinum is better than Limited.

I went limited trd. You'll get some yellow shocks, trd wheels, and a cool sticker. I told myself I wouldn't mess with the trucks suspension. Well those yellow shocks are gone. Now I'm trying to make it till the end of winter without changing my wheels lol. Oh and the sticker might walk off one day.

It's really depends on what your gonna do to the truck if you're going to keep it completely stock I'd get the trd package. If not go no trd.
But really it's more personal preference.

I wanted a sticker on my Bedside that I'll eventually remove so I went trd.
