I would ask a local glass place, I am certain they will tell you to use butyl cement. Anyways, key to the whole repair is that you get the brackets in the correct place and I would use new rubber insert and brackets as they provide the proper holding force. I've done that before and they usually go on very hard, the cement will aid as a lubricant during installation. You'll most likely will have to use a plastic hammer to get them on.

My advice would be to take it to a glass shop and have them fix it, especially if you not sure of what you are doing. I am not questioning your mechanical ability but those windows will shatter very easy (ask me how I know).

I haven't done anything to my truck this weekend but I did spent some money on it. I ordered me a set of Michelin LTX At tires in size 275/60-20 to fill my wheel wells a little better, they should compliment my 20" Sequoia wheels well. Could have bought cheaper tires but I really like the same Michelins that came with my truck in the 18" version when I bought it, I figured the TRD Bilstein shocks and Michelins are "tuned" for each other; now I will have my TRD suspension back, just in a 20" version.

Wife couldn't say anything either because I just paid 10K for plantation shutters for the whole house, something she wanted for quite some time. New tires and a happy wife....win-win situation!

Stupid questions of the day: if I decide to buy Bilstein 5100 (just to level the front) do I reuse my front springs, is that something to be done at home (spring compressor) and do I need an alignment?

By the way, reading this stupid forum, has cost me a lot of money!

Wanted to point out that one of those U channels looks to be spread open a little bit. Maybe it’s just a picture, but make sure you get them squared up to.

Added some OE 2018 LED fogs. Now I need to do something about the dingy stock headlights. Thinking of maybe just doing some whiter halogens for now.

Love it plus when i added the 4" lift it stiffened up the front more. They do now make a TRD front sway bar, with both installed it will give you a more sports car feel on the pavement.

I used a 5 min black epoxy, I used a razor to scrap off old glue on both sides, and isopropyl alcohol to clean window where they sat in channels, also used a heat gun to close channels up try to clean best I could, once epoxy was mixed I put in channels and place window down and used some small C clamps to hold corners of channels then got several 1x2 pieces of wood wedged em between window frame to top of window to put pressure so that window seats all way down in channels

I used a set of white rock lights that I got off of Amazon, simple 2 wire hook up just like the amp research lights, they aren't taped on like the amp lights though, the have to be screwed in. I didn't want to use screws, so I used nutserts and now they bolt in.
