I didn't catch the beginning of this comvo, but I can tell you I did a lot of lifting between 2001-2011, then life took over (kids) and I fell off the wagon for over two years, as I got back into it I had a terrible burning pain deep in my shoulder. I took some time off and it kept coming back and eventually decided it didn't seem like it was going to fix itself. The pain would even wake me up at night. Ended up with a cortisone shot, which didn't do anything. Needed to goto physical therapy first to justify MRI (no time in life for PT right now, so that wasn't an option).
I had to cut out lifting completely and I focused on running for a year. Just now easing back into lifting, so far so good. In summary, injuries suck, good luck!

With every sport comes risk of injury..I had some minor orthoscopic surgery on one of my knees in 2014...had to go through all their hoops before they would consider an MRI..multiple P/t sessions, X-rays, and a cortisone shot before they finally agreed to an MRI and decided to cut it open and fix it.

I first went to PT in either 2012 or 2103 for my shoulder ...multiple treatments, at home exercises, gym excercise, etc with no luck.
The discomfort has escalated these last 6-12 months so I had it looked at via X-Ray and MRI...

His next plan of option will be to shave some off ...and of course, it's a crap shot and may only make it worse. Im just hoping this cortisone shot will help some, even as a band-aid.

Glad you're back at it and lifting!

Hopefully something works for your shoulder. Looks like you have done all you can at this point. Best of luck. I'm happy to be lifting again but man it is depressing how quickly you lose it, and how hard it is to get back.

I try and stay fit for multiple reasons, but one of them being career related..never know when you're in the fight of your life.

I've been focusing on my legs lately..knee surgery took a hit, but I've been slowly bringing them up some.
