I’ve owned a couple fords personally with nothing but issues.

My first f150 was an electrical fire waiting to happen. Used hunk of shit so I wasn’t too coner

    Second 2013 f150 fx4 ecoboost.
Beautiful truck the sluty blue color on 35s. I babied this truck as it was my first new truck ever. Motor blew up at 33,000km. Two of the six pistons skirts broke off and created catistrauphic failure. $27,000 warranty bill. Put it up for sale the day I picked it up the shop.

I’ve run a couple f150s for work trucks also. Mostly gravel driven on one all highway one second. Here’s a list of parts replaced on both trucks within 100,000km

    Transmission gaskets.
    Cylinder heads (both trucks).
    Steering rack and pinion
Gravel driven truck literally had to get new rear brake pads and discs in 3000km
Leaf springs (both trucks with 150lbs in box all times)
    Tons of sensors

That’s just the stuff that made me shake my head.

I will never buy a ford again with my own money regardless of cool superchargers or raptor suspension. They all have the same generic drivetrain components and with my experience with them they’re shit. I’m my most humble opinion of course. No disrepect just my experience!

    *mike drop.

Jesus, Mary, & Joeseph. That is just one slew of issues. I would have done the same thing.

It’s so weird, all my friends have F Sieries trucks with minimal issues.

My buddy with his 2011 F250 has 95k miles of hard pulling. One exhaust leaking issue on an up pipe flange.

Not salty haha. Just never understand why so many guys hate on different trucks. I get this is a Tundra forum, and I love my tundra, but it’s hilarious to me how members on here act like the tundra is the perfect truck and nothing else can compare. Yea other brands have problems, but tundras also have their issues (cam towers anyone?). I personally think the TRD Pro is a rip-off but I wouldn’t go out of my way to make a thread about it, because people buy them for reasons that I don’t share. Yea $100k is a lot of money, but it’s also an awesome truck and if anyone here had the option to trade their Tundra for one straight up, well they’re lying if they’d turn that deal down. Just annoying that people can’t sit back and appreciate a beautiful truck because it’s not a tundra. If that was a tundra Shelby build, members here would circle jerking over how incredible it is and they wish they had an extra $100k. Sorry I need more coffee rant over

I had a F150 before my tundra. 140k miles and counting with zero issues. Gave it to my dad at 110k miles still runs great and he doesn’t even do recommended maintenance other than oil changes

Almost did. The only thing that stopped me was one of my said buddies that daily drove his F350 to his job sites had a major engine problem at 15k miles, new head was installed on the drivers side. Common problem with 15-16’ 6.7L diesel trucks if you DD them and the truck is in constant regeneration mode. Burns valves due to all the extra fuel being dumped into the drivers side head. Pretty retarded design.

That is why I purchased a DM. Way nicer interior, way better reliability, and I like how the regeneration process is that GM uses vs the competition.

Kinda glad it happened that way. 5k miles later he had to put a whole new front end under his 20k mile truck. How pathetic is that?

Nahhh, Just 'cause someone bags on it doesn't mean they don't/ can't appreciate it. There are a lot of us that can't spend that kind of money on a garage trophy so ya put it down instead, then ya feel better. Can't deny that Carroll Shelby did some BA stuff, the Cobra for one but I honestly don't care much for the looks of that particular truck. I do pitch a tent in my pants when I think about the 700hp though.

Nah, I was jerking your chain (see I told you guys I didn't do that crap!)

I love raptors and the GMC's myself...I'd be lying if I said I didn't drool a little when I first saw the Shelby F150's in person.

Can't say you're not wrong on the Pro's, but it's like we all say on here, there's a seat for every ass out there. LOL
No reason you can't appreciate other vehicles.....shit, I have plans myself to buy an older 70's - 80's soft top bronco and fix it up just to have!
Unless Toyota slips up on reliability, I'll still have a tundra as my DD!

well glad to pop your cherry, sugar tits! You never forget your first, y'know!:yes::yes:

Exactly! I wouldn't buy a lambo....I can't see myself spending that much money on a car, but some people do.....more power to them. Same with buying a $1000 Iphone.....to me, that's ridiculous, but hey a couple of my buddies ponied up for that. Hope it serves them well is all I can say. LOL

Ah well. I don’t hate em. I still like the way they look and I think raptors are badass. I don’t hate anything I just won’t try it again my self. I’ve owned a few Chevys with the ls block motors. One for the same work truck conditions and beat the living shit out of them without issue. I sold my work truck with 400000km amd running strong still. And just cause I now own a tundra doesn’t mean I love tundras more than anything haha. I’ve never even changed oil on my tundra yet. Although I did replace starter. I’ve heard nothing but good thing about Toyota’s so hope I can agree one day too! :p:anonymous:I do like it so far though
