Funny I’m looking at mine and I don’t see a PCV valve just tubes coming out of the top of the valve covers. I guess it’s the same thing minus the PCV part LOL

What a trip. It’s definitely not conventional like on an old 350. Because I can see the two hoses coming from the tops of what we could call the valve covers. I guess I need to go study it further.

In fact, my SC installer didn't even use mine. I have a message into Magnuson to determine if they recommend it. Can't hurt for sure....just looking to see if it is necessary. I might install mine regardless.

It was clean water haha. If you went through what I went through to get this thing you would’ve picked up. Basically I returned a phone to Apple because mine broke. The one they sent me failed within two months. I shipped back and it got stolen in the mail. They received an empty box. I ended up having to foot the bill. $999 because I forgot to get insurance at the post office. That phone was gonna live no matter what happened. I’ve basically paid for this phone twice.

Pretty sure this is the PCV valve from the picture you posted of the diagram. ADB8C2C6-7C36-4F7C-A1DB-6FF9421D92B8.jpg

To be honest I don’t really understand how the entire ventilation system works. What throws me off is where the PCV valve is located. It comes out of the crankcase and into the intake manifold. Then the hoses off of the valve covers go into the intake piping. I wonder how the supercharged guys hook theirs up. Do they pull off of the crankcase and tie it into the 2nd catch can? Because I would bet there is oil vapors being recycled from the crank case into the intake manifold.

    It's a V8 so I think we need a can with 2in and 1 out.

You would think this would be true but what about the passenger side. I would think the catch can should be located after they tee together right before it goes into the intake tube.

Not only is it catching oil it is catching water vapor and other junk that probably doesn't belong going into the throttle body, but it is an EPA requirement. I put a catch can on my harley to stop all of that stuff going back into the combustion chamber.

OK I watch some videos and looked at quite a few different set ups. It looks like I am correct in thinking that you would just install the catch can. The left and right valve cover hoses either need to both go into the same can and out as one, or tee together before entering the catch can. And then into your intake tube.

So if you look at my picture right before it goes into the tube you would intercept and put the catch can there. Obviously remotely mounted but route your hoses from there.

PCV valve or crank case vent that you showed me earlier, will need it’s own catch can completely separate from the other one. From my understanding they cannot be cross connected as it will cause different airflow readings and could throw a code or just not function properly.

Nice! So the first can's outlet goes to the intake tube. On the 2nd can, the inlet is from the PCV where does the outlet go?
