Man I want to put that honeycomb grill insert in so bad. Is the the adaptive cruise control simply unplug from old and replug into the new insert?

I ordered the part as a Platinum grille from Roman, color matched. It does not come with the emblem. So I unplugged the sensor and removed the emblem. The emblem goes on fine but the seating for the sensor was slightly different. It still fits with screw holes and everything but I had to cut a small plastic ridge that was in the way. Plugged back in.

    Looks great!
I did the exact same thing for my limited this weekend... took less than 2 hrs (hardest part was getting the clips off the back of the emblem).
But all in all pretty easy and great update. Powder Coating my bumper caps (last chrome on the truck) besides my 5.7L emblems to make the 2.7L 150 guys jealous

Sweet! Yes, lock washers are a b**ch. I’m also doing the bumper caps, mirror caps, and blacking out the emblems.

Yes I told toyota to do my mirrors or I wouldn't buy the truck. I took all my emblems and stickers off
How are you going to do the bumper caps? I'm on the fence but as of now leaning towards powder coating black to closely match truck color.
I read somewhere a guy was able to take the caps off without taking off the grill (again) and the whole bumper...going to give it a shot

I couldn’t get my dealer to do anything. On the bumper caps I haven’t decided yet - I kind of like the idea of vinyl wrap for extra protection but I think bumpers are harder to vinyl. Powder coat/plastidip/sand and paint. Dunno yet. Maybe I’ll see how yours turns out

Thanks. You know, I’m not really sure yet. Looking at Bilstein 6200’s, King, Icon, Fox...any recommendations? Definitely going full coilovers.

I don't know enough to recommend, except I know it depends on your goals. If you won't be doing more than basic off-roading, Bilstein will cost you a lot less than the others you listed, and most seem really happy with them. Toytec is a popular "more affordable" option.

If you plan on turning your Tundra into an off-road/ overland beast, check out the SGU and the NorCal Spotted and BS threads. There's a lot of real world experience and banter, about what suspension actually does in various situations. For most of us, Kings, Icon, and Fox would be a ton of ca$h for more capability than we'll use. On the other hand, lotta "casual" off-roaders get better over time, want to replace the first set-up, and that costs more in the long run than going big one time.

This is great advice. I think for now I’m a casual off-roader because the truck is new and I’m kind of babying it. But in a couple years I might go harder - I definitely have opportunities around where I live.

When I look at Romans parts thread the platinum grill link doesn't show a honeycomb, am I looking at the wrong thing? TIA

Agree with obz below. It’s just a generic picture. I ordered that part and also messaged Roman to make sure I was getting the right thing. It does not come with the center emblem though.

Vegas. They just finished the Mint 400 here. I have a friend who works for them and gets to drive his raptor on the trail before the races begin.

Just got an 18. What parts should I order to color match my chrome to the gray? Or do you use a specific supplier?

Just message Roman from coolspringstoyota. He can get you the hood bulge in the magnetic gray. I believe the surround (the sides and bottom) of the Grille gave to be ordered separate in gray. Bumper caps they don’t make in gray so left with powder coating, dipping, or vinyl. I’ve seen people do all with good results.
