Late to the discussion but I have had WeatherTech's and Husky's in several cars, I prefer the WeatherTech's for fit and the fact that they wear well. Looking at the pic of your passenger side, that mat definitely is a (blemish or mis-mold) it should fit much better than that. Like others, I would contact them, they will definitely take care of you. I agree with all that there should be total coverage on the driver side mat of the "dead pedal" area, it bugs that it goes half-way up that area always gets dirty. On the front passenger side, my new set (bought Dec 2017) came from WeatherTech with a mat anchor system that works ok, much better than it sliding around, but not a total solution. On my last set, 07' Tundra DC, I tried really heavy duty plastic velcro that has rigid teeth, didn't do anything to stop it.

There should be a MFG mold code or version number on your mat (underside) when you call WeatherTech, reference that number and see what they say for your Year and Cab Configuration.

I found this product on Amazon that seems like a good way to permanently fix the mats without damaging the factory carpet. Its called the Eagle Klaw, I bought a set for my current passengers side front mat and its working well.

I ordered Weathertechs over a month or so ago and mine look like the picture posted by TundraCoast.

Have the “clips” that have spiked bits underneath to hold the carpet kind of like a carpet mat for a desk chair.

Haven’t had any passengers mention slipping of the mat

Still don’t know why they can’t make the entire mat spiky. Simple GD solution!
I wonder if they would send me the updated ones even though I’ve had mine for a few years.

my passenger one always slip when people jump in. It's borderline dangerous. Weathertech sent me some velcro but same issue.
I'm gonna try those Eagle claw.

From my experience, the new "spikes" have a limited ability to stop the mat from plunging all the way up into the passenger foot well, yes nibs on the back would solve the problem once and for all. Check out that Amazon link that product can be retrofitted to any floor mat (I have no affiliation with them, just tired of that mat moving all over the place)

I received the replacement mats today. They are the new style with the spikes like the picture above. I haven't put them in yet but we'll get to it in a bit.

So I put it in and it fits better. It doesn't fit as good as a friend's Husky liners. But at least Weathertech had great customer service.

I tried the waffle stuff, and it still slipped around. So I cleaned the bottom of the mat with rubbing alcohol, then sprayed it with Locktight Adhesive, and then apples the waffle stuff to the bottom. IT WORKED PERFECTLY! No more slipping around.

Yours doesn't look like mine. Mine had a spike piece you added to it and it keeps it in place. But yes, I agree it should go further under the dash IMO. I place the matts from my tacoma over it to add length and everything falls into weather tech deep matts

I had Weathertech in a previous vehicle and HATED how they fit and would not stay contoured. One corner curled up under the accelerator...Pure sh!t.
If someone gave me a set I would throw them away.
