My dad killed one when I was a kid, and decided to cook it and eat it, which we did.

What I remember the most though? The fact that it was in the sink - skinned, gutted, decapitated, nothing but meat left. It was still coiled up, shaking it’s tail to rattle the rattle it no longer had, and when my dad grabbed the end it was shaking, the other end still attempted to bite him.

What in the ever-loving F? Probably the most demonic evil shit I’ve ever seen in my life. But, yeah, tasted like chicken.

    Your Dad... is a Badass!

On my statement earlier, I’m not afraid of all snakes. I don’t go running like a little bitch. I’ve held many snakes. I just feel they are untrustworthy. My wife and daughter wanted to get one as a pet. I just reminded them that we will feed them live mice. I don’t want that shit my house LMFAO

There is a reason why you stay away from someone described as a “fucking snake”. Fuck that guy too!

I have LAUGHED at some of the comments!! Y'all are a bunch of comedians...

Rattlesnakes are actually pretty cool, the stoic "gentleman" of poisonous snakes... They know they can fuck your world up, and they know you know it. They also know that a person is way too big for them to eat, so, IF you have the nerves to sit there and let him check you out and move on... you're good. Big IF though. Sharting would be extremely likely with that type of encounter.

Most snakes are pretty chill, but I still kill the venomous ones we find in the yard. With the kids and dogs around, I’m not going to take chances. Haven’t found any rattlers around the house, but I did battle a mean ass cottonmouth last year. He was right off the back patio, and he wouldn’t move no matter what.
I exercised my “stand my ground I fear for my life” protocol that day.

Here’s a photo I titled “I’m tired of all these motherf-ing snakes on this motherf-ing tree!”

I had a Ball Python as a pet. He became increasingly aggressive, and unpredictable over 4 years. He bit me once, and naturally he was thrown with everything I had in me. I gave him to a buddy who breeds snakes right after that. If it were my kid...he would have not just been thrown against a wall.

As a kid I'd plink off some rattlers with my 22. Was in Nevada on my dads cousins ranch. Dad would make up some chili with them. I'd salt and dry the skins and make cowboy hat bands. My dads cousin would get off his horse when he would spot a rattler and "quickly" grab the end of the rattler and snap it hard enough to break it's back. Hardcore for sure. I prefer the .22

Yep, I would have shit myself. If a heart attack didn’t follow the camera guy has an ass whopping coming!

I believe it is illegal to kill a Rattler here in East Tennessee. Seems I’ve heard people saying they are a protected species.
