    hey there guys and gals!
so in the back seat of my crewmax the seatbelts have a tendency to flip and if the road isn't as smooth as piss on a plate, the metal on the male end click-clacks off the plastic pillars causing an extreme test of my patience. however, if the belts are slipped into the nifty little holsters the noise is completely irradiated.
it got me wondering, how many of you use those little fellers?
    happy truckin!

Other- my seat belts don't click-clack because they are currently threaded through tiny human transport devices.

I make sure to let anyone know when they get out of the back set to make sure and slip them in the holders. Hate when I decide to ride with windows down and have to stop and fix them.

Nope, my DC has them. Just little clips on the C pillar.

I have been known to literally pull over and fix it! I can’t stand the sound. I also have a rattle in my rear passenger door. It only rattles when certain bass hits. I’ve been meaning to take the door panel off and see if I can fix it.

What causes the noise that the OP is describing? I don’t seem to get a noise from the seatbelts

When the shoulder belt is in the stationary position, it will smack the plastic on the pillar, more so if the windows down. Especially if the seatbelt is flipped and the metal is facing the plastic. It’s quite annoying when you finally experience it.

Ahh now that you say that i have experienced it before when the rear windows are rolled down. That tends to create a tornado effect with the way our back doors are designed making it very annoying and loud so I try to keep them up.

I think I'm the only one who voted "I didn't even know they were there!". 2/3 of them are securing child seats, so that might be part of the reason.

My back seat is occupied by car seats. I've only had them out once to put more passengers in the back. There were 3 fairly large grown men in the back, so I don't think they bothered to use seat belts. Therefor, I'm assuming my seat belts have not been used, so I didn't know this was an issue.

I use mine so I don't have to listen to the belts slapping against the plastic trim.

My brand new Limited Crew Max had a rattle from the back after taking the kids for their first ride. Took a quick look and tucking the belt in the holder fixed it. Glad that is all it was.

Now my issue is having my kids put the belts back in the holders when they get out . . . wish me luck.

3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
Not sure where I seen it, but the larger seats was rubbing on the back of the cab in a crew max and the belts making a noise also. This person loosened the bolts that hold the seat down, and put a small spacers (like a few washers on the rear bolts under the brackets) this will pull the seat away from the back wall.
