Just got my first damage to my truck. Pretty nasty scratch from a parking lot encounter I didn't now happened until this morning. Not even 2000 miles on the truck.

Not sure if I feel relieved that it is out of the way or sad. I know it can be repaired but damn.

Still love it with all of its imperfections.

My windshield got cracked from a rock or something going down the highway at <3k. My 2016 got hit in a parking lot at <2k, and my 2013 Taco got hit in a parking lot at <500mi. I'm still pissed at every one.

Yup. Caught a rock to the windshield and put a crack. Less than 800 miles. Sucks.

For my truck so far I got new wind shield, body work on the front right fender and recently had to replace the steering wheel. I know the pain.

That sucks. My 2000 Frontier was hit with less than 100 miles. I had it for one full day before it got rear ended.

It happens. Hard to keep anything in mint condition when you use it everyday. It gets easier after the first one

That sucks. I'm hurting for you, man. Luckily I've had nothing happen to mine in the six months I've owned it (knock on wood). When I bought my first car right out of high school, someone backed into it in a parking lot the first week I owned it. Of course they left no note or anything, so I had to foot the repair bill.

Yep I got a rock chipin the windshield at around 2000k. Had it repaired. It hasn’t spread but I can see it. I dragged rear bumper while off roading with my daughter at around 5K. I’m OK with that one. I got my first two door dings right next to each other at around 15,000. I do what I can to avoid it getting damaged. But I also don’t stress about it as much as I did in my younger days. I don’t mind a few scratches and dings as long as the rest of the truck is well taken care of. Keep it waxed it still looks good!

That sucks! Its just a wee bit more than a scratch. Many scratches. Turn it in to your insurance. Hopefully they can help.

    That really sucks!

I only buys used, I don't have to endure the pain from the first scratch, just live with the existing ones! Some polish could go a long way if they are not too deep.

I never bought new cars until this one. Always used. But the tundras I was looking at were so high priced it just made more sense for me to buy new. And you’re right polish it up and see how good you can get it to look.

Was it your fault or did some a$$wipe hit you and then take off like an irresponsible schmuck without leaving their insurance information?

    Either way it sucks!
