Last week, I was on a trip for a week and parked my truck at the Portand Oregon airport which I have done before. When we got back, the truck was dead as a doorknob. I had the airport staff come out and give me a jump and it took a moment to start. I had left nothing on, the only thing drawing power would have been the little blue led for the alarm. The hour drive home charged up the battery nicely and I went to Toyota the next day and they ran a test and everything showed fine and within specs. It did get a little cold during the week I was gone, but nothing below freezing, and I had taken the exact same trip in December when it was colder than last week with no issue. Any ideas? I find it hard to believe that a 2017 truck would have this issue.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Third week I had my 16 the battery just died, I was like really. Dealership replaced without batting a brow. Never had an issue after that. Could be just a bad batch of batterys that are supplied when they come off the assembly line.

Mine sat for a week in my garage with temperatures inside at 40 to 50 degrees. After that it would not start without using a jump pack. 6k miles and less than 6 months old. I'm replacing it with an AGM.

Since Thursday last week my 14 truck was weak starting. I put the battery on my Norco charger and the battery tested fine. Ordered a new Odyssey battery on Saturday, picking it up today. This morning I had to jump my truck.

Yes it is the OEM battery from late 2013, so over 4 years for a traditional battery is good for me. I used to only get 3-4 years out of battery, sometimes less.

Original batteries sit for long time before they get put in the vehicle then dealer gets vehicle and sits for a long time again so the batteries tend to go bad.....i work a a Honda dealer and I see this way to much on the new vehicles

My 07 came with OEM (of course) made by Johnson Controls. Was still good at 7 years when I stupidly replaced it with an Excide made/Bosch branded. Using Yellow Top now with no issuse. I think the OEM batteries you get now are pretty much crap.

We use the Deka Intimidator line for just about every application at our park. We use them in vehicles, vessels, heavy equipment, and smaller PV systems for backup battery storage. We use the Deka Intimidator in everything. Some places carry Deka, but use another name, like ProPower or ProStart. If it's made by East Penn, it's Deka. Some of these batteries are in PV systems that are used and abused, powering water pumps at remote locations. Other batteries are in vessels that might get run every day of the week for 6 months, and then sit for 6 months, but it will start easily even after a long break in service.

After having some of these batteries in service for 5 years, in all different applications, I'm a believer in them. The Intimidator is the sealed AGM line that they offer.

My 15 had a similar issue. Dealer checked the battery and replaced it. No problems since.

My 2016 had same issues about month ago. Jumped and since then never happened again. Didn't take it to the dealer since working just fine. Have no idea what caused to be drained.
