    Hey folks,
    I'm from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and I'm currently in the market for a Toyota Tundra. I have found what seems to be a good truck, it's a 2012 Toyota Tundra 4x4 5.7L Crew max cab. The truck has 59k miles and overall the truck looks pretty clean. However, before I get to far into going through with the purchase I would like to get some of you guy's thoughts on what I should look out for on this truck. What are the habitual problems of the 2012 Tundra's?? Any advise is greatly appreciated. I am currently in a 2007 F-150 and miss my last Toyota I had before that (2002 Toyota Tacoma). This particular dealer does offer a Lifetime powertrain warranty that cover numerous parts of the motor. For example;
    Engine Cylinder block and head and all internal parts, intake manifold, timing gears and gaskets, timing chain/belt and cover, flywheel, valve covers, oil pan, oil pump, engine mounts, turbocharger housing and all internal parts, supercharger housing and all internal parts, engine control computers, water pump, seals and gaskets.
    Transmission Case and all internal parts, torque converter, clutch cover, transmission mounts, transfer case and all internal parts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets.
    Drive System Front wheel drive system
    • Final drive housing and all internal parts, axle shafts, drive shaft, constant velocity joints, front hub and bearings, seals and gaskets
    • Rear wheel drive system
    • Axle housing and all internal parts, propeller shaft, u-joints, drive shaft, bearings, supports, seals and gaskets.

    I've got nothing negative! I enjoyed my 2013 crew max 4x4 for 103,000 until a tornado took it away. Waiting on delivery of new crew max 4x4. I had zero issues.

    That cool. I should get another 221K at least since mine has only 64K at 9 yrs old. You get your money's worth for sure when you buy a Toyota truck. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I would like to thank all of you for the reply's and advise. So far i have not been able to look at the truck due to an snow and ice storm in my area. When i went to look at the truck last Saturday the truck was incased in ice and the dealer could hardly get the doors open on it. I plan on looking at it more closely on Tuesday. I look forward to re-joining the Toyota clan. Buying an F-150 after a Toyota i found out quickly there is nothing better then a Toyota truck.

    i agree, bought the f150 in 2010 and honestly can't remember a time when the truck didn't have something wrong with it. Had to buy something because i totaled my 02' tacoma and couldn't find another Toyota in my price range.
