Posted this over on one of the vinyl wrap threads, but figured I'd add it here too. I posted back in Nov. after I'd wrapped the hood bulge and mirror caps. Over the last couple week's I wrapped the front end caps and got my @Baja Designs Squadrons installed. Super stoked!

The bulge, mirror caps (and I forgot to mention, the door handles) are like the day I wrapped them. The bulge and mirror caps were wrapped in mid Nov.

Oh yea! Although not doing any extreme off roading, I had it out hunting every week/weekend through early Jan. and have put about 4K road miles on it in the last 4 months. I've washed it abt 4 times and sprayed it off (mud) several other times.

While I'm no pro, I'm super anal about any diy project....meaning, I review all the research I can get my hands on and take my time to do it right (as best I can). The biggest thing I've learned about the vinyl is:
1.) Use good automotive vinyl. You get what you pay for.
a.) I used Oracal; In part b/c it was the closest MGM color match, and it's a trusted brand in the auto industry. Folks like Unique Whips (from the old TV show) use it wrap exotic cars.
2.) Gentle and patient use of heat and stretching as you squeegee is key.
3.) Wrap to and around the edges to the other side. If it's just wrapped to the edge then cut (even with a new razor) there's a greater chance that the weather and elements will eventually work the edge loose. If it's wrapped around to the other side (then the part reinstalled) there's no way for it to come loose unless it's cut.

Just bought truck on Monday and Im loving it. Picked up a set of TRD wheels for $450 off craiglist along with some running boards. Tinted the truck 5% all around. Added rear way bar, upgraded to TRD shifter and plastidipped badges.

Lol where do i begin. I use the black light cream with dual action to get a nice dark shine in the black then hit it with the butter cream wax. I use the banana spray wax in between washes. In the fenders i use their barebones product which makes it look invisible under there by the tires.

Toyota T-Force wheels I believe. I think they come on Texas Edition Tundras (maybe others as well). I traded for them.
