Anyone ever install a sway bar in a Tundra TRD Pro that was intended for a Sequoia?

I've only replaced the standard sway bar with the Sequoia bar. What's your motivation/what're you considering here?

Indeed I do have both the Sequoia front and TRD rear. Highly recommend for anyone who's lifted their truck and enjoys spirited driving...or lots of towing.

Truck is pretty heavy when loaded and there is a good amount of roll. Figured it could get alot better.

What kind of lift do you have? I am not changing out mine, just looking for a more stable ride.

I am not a lift guy, but that sounds like it could be pretty much what the Pro's come with. Thanks

Apples and oranges. The TRD Pro is a 2" front lift and has softer rear leafs.

It's not bigger. Same OD, but smaller ID. 16% stiffer.

I have a Platinum with TRD Pro suspension and Sequoia front/TRD rear sway bars. It handles great! Highly recommended.

In my experience, adding the rear sway bar (TRD in my case) made the greatest difference. Adding the Sequoia bar made a difference, but it was more subtle. I don't know if the bar on the Pros is different from the standard and Sequoia ones. Looking up part numbers may gain you some insight. I've can't think of any occasion where I've read of anyone removing their Pro bar for the Sequoia bar, only about removing the standard one.

Completely agreed on the TRD rear making a larger difference than Sequoia front. But the TRD Pro suspension is just different coilovers, rear shocks, and rear springs. All 2nd/3rd gen Tundras have the same front sway bar.

So, as far as we know, barring (ha) anything unforeseen, the OP should be able to directly swap in the Sequoia bar if he so desires?

In your experience, would it be best to go with both front/rear Tundra sway bars or one Tundra and one Sequoia? I know there's not much of a difference, but would it be noticeable one vs the other?

If you have the extra $130 bucks, do both. Otherwise just do the rear. Most my excessive body roll issues went away with the rear. The Sequoia front was marginal.
But I drive like an asshole and I live in the mountains.

For fast street driving, stiff sway bars will help you in handling. For serious to semi-serious off-roaders, adding a stiff bar makes your truck less capable. There are some off-roaders who took the entire front sway bars off from their Tundras. They claim their trucks perform a lot better off road without the front sway bars.

I don't go off road, but I live in an area with very rough roads with a lot of cracks and pot holes. That was the reason why I got an off-road suspension, off-road tires, and no rear sway bar. Some people recommended that I take off the front sway bar, but since I don't off road, that will be going too far, I decided. It really depends what you use your truck for.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I went with Hellwig's (rear) swaybar for my 2010. Didn't like TRD's red color and Hellwig's are thicker.Really improved handling, more so than I thought it would.

I have the SR5 ordered with the level kit option to be installed, I ordered the rear sway bar by recomendation. Should I order a front sway bar? I want a smoother ride, not to worried about body roll I just want more comfort.

The sway bar is to control body roll. It won't really smooth out the ride in the way that I think you're thinking, that'd be more of a shock/spring thing.

What is a good price for a used Sequoia SB? Was thinking about heading to the junk yards to see if they have one.

I suppose that anything less than $100 would be reasonable.

Since I don't have my truck yet does the tundra not have a front sway at all?

The sway bar on the Sequoia is stiffer, as it's a bit heavier. The sway bar that comes on all Pros isn't any different than what's on the standard Tundra.
