Thanks for bringing this to my attention. My apologies. Haven't been in the loop with Toyota for awhile, and I'm only just now getting back into it all. Updated. That's a whole butt ton of more vehicles! Let's spread the word to all of them! I also sent out an email about this to everyone who signed the petition already. Here's the description line:
[The Toyota 3UR-FE 5.7L V8 engine found in Toyota Tundras, Sequoias, Siennas, Land Cruisers, and Lexus LX570s suffer from cam shaft tower leakage, and........]

Very rare for an 08 to develop the leak. Very rare. A 9 year old truck. Was it dogged? My 07 is dry as a bone. This isn't a safety issue or smog related problem and affects mostly 2014s and up. Good luck and besides it appears that Toyota is fixing trucks for free already. I'm signing, but????

2010 and mine has been leaking for a few years. But it's so covered in dust and dirt that it hasn't developed into a leak for say.

Just for clarification, this affects the 3UR-FBE 5.7 FLEX FUEL trucks also.

Signed. My truck was repaired on both sides. Hope it doesn' come back, but it would be nice for Toyota to fix it again if I'm out of warranty.

after signing the petition, I went and looked at mine out of curiosity, and sure as shit mine is leaking!! WTF! Now I have to go and fight my local dealership for the repair. This sucks! Wonder what they will say when they see my truck lifted with some minor mods.... " we can't help you, as your truck has been modified"

My truck is leveled and I had no issues getting Toyota to fix it under warranty. I don't see how a lift could cause the cam towers to leak. Toyota knows it's a common problem.

Obviously the lift and suspension mods could never create a cam tower leak, I just know what to expect from these pricks. My trucks not even at 9K!

IndyRedTRD, do you know if the used a gasket for the fix OR "goop" again?

They used black formed in place gasket material. There is no gasket for this area of the engine that I know of. Hopefully they won't give you any trouble.
