Absolutely! Wouldn't have anything other than a Tundra. The tornado threw an 18 wheeler on top of Tundra. Impressive engineering by Toyota. Waiting on my 16 to be delivered.
    Thanks

Dang! Hope everyone is OK. Welcome to the site! I was in my first accident yesterday driving home through North Carolina. Luckily it wasn't my Tundra, I wrecked (and totaled) the company Volvo suv. :facepalm:Terrible road conditions yesterday through the Carolinas.

Glad you were ok! Volvo helped pave the way years ago in vehicle safety. I take strength of my ride very serious.
    Thanks

Yes the Volvo took the hit from a 18 wheeler like a champ. I lost control when I hit slush, the car turned 90 degrees and I went nose first under a semi. The A pillars took a hard hit and then the trailer tires hit my front right fender spinning me around to hit the back end on the back of the trailer. I was impressed how well it took the damage. Me and my passenger were just fine.

Yes, everyone at the location survived. 8 tractor trailer rigs were blown over along with 12 crushed and or damaged passenger vehicles. The tornado tracked 175 miles and killed 12. We were lucky. Looking forward to being back behind the wheel of a Tundra, hopefully this coming week. I use mine for work and put 60K miles a year.
    Thanks!

Glad no one got hurt, Billy. Amazing pics. Very fortunate. Shows how destructive a twister is. Sorry, I have to ask.................did it still start up??? (How many vehicles/semi's besides yours were caught up in that mess?)

Man glad yall are safe!! Holy smokes! Safety was the main factor for me getting a brand new truck along with the quality of Toyota.
The safety in general on most vehicles has come a long way. As soon as my Tundra is paid off, the wife is getting a new Toyota!

It never stopped running! I shut it down before exiting through the windshield opening. 20+ vehicles involved. The Toyota brand has sold me. After sharing my story with Toyota in California, they sent me a voucher for $500 towards any future purchases with Toyota. Proof that the customer is important to corporate, not just at the dealership!
    Thanks

I totally agree! I'm transitioning all of our vehicles to the Toyota brand. They are ALL built to the same standards as the Tundra.
    Thanks

Probably took a while to clear out that mess. Very lucky indeed. You need to go to Vegas
