Hey folks......Been a while since I've been on here. I had a rocky start to the New Year. We were camping in the desert, and New Years Eve I came down with the flu. Fought that for 2 weeks and then followed by a bad cold for 3 weeks. I went to my Oncologist for my 6 month routine blood work check up and now the real shitty news......my cancer had returned after being in remission for almost 5 years to the day. It is a rare leukemia T-PLL. We caught it early this time, thanks to my routine 6-month lab check up. I have already started my chemo rounds and yes it kicks your ass. It is rough stuff with headache, nausea and vomiting all part of the side effects. Thankfully I have my wife by my side helping with every minute of my day. Hate sharing this poor news with you all, would rather be talking shop talk ! Religious or not, say a prayer for me. Take care all.........Will try to stay in touch.

I'm very sorry to hear this, John, but very grateful you were still on a 6 month lab schedule. Also very glad you live close to best possible medical care; one of the benefits of living in SoCal for sure. You know I'm local so, if there's anything I can do for you or your wife (like help with yard work, anything you usually handle but need to lay off awhile), give me a shout. God bless you!
