WeatherTech front passenger mat

Anyone have the Weathertechs in their Tundra and notice the front passenger side is too short?

If they are laser measured and designed how can this happen?

Or did I get the short end of the deal?

Too short as in it should go deeper up into the foot well? Or the fact that the piece of shit slides all over the place? I just hate that it slides everywhere. I still need to put some Velcro or some type of clamp pin to help keep it located

 

Here are a couple of pics. Pushed back the front doesn't conform to the kick panel. Pushed forward your feet are awkwardly on it and it still doesn't conform to kick panel.

Yeah, the damn thing slides around. They need to fix it

 

Those look a little short. Mine looks somewhat like that but I think it’s because it slides forward bending the mat making it look like it doesn’t form to the kick panel. If I could do it all over again I would get Huskies.

 

Only issue I have is that passenger side slides forward I'm fixing to put some velcro tape to stop this

 

I don't have any issues with mine, but I have 2012 CM. call them, they will take care of you.

 

I have them and mine seem to fit perfectly.....

 

Maybe glue a midflap to it so it fits?lol...ya that's not for your truck id say.had WT on my tacoma and they fit alot better than that

 

Now that you mention it I have to agree. The passenger doesn't fit nearly as well as it should. I pushed it as far foreward as i could. These were given to me so I'll deal, if I ever buy some I'll go with husky or michelin.
And yes that's an emergency 12 pack for syrup season, I can't be left dry out there.

 

And jus another RANT weather tech shuda went at least 4 to 6 inches higher on the driver's side where you rest your left foot, carpet area on mine getting dirty bad

 

I put a rubber mat under mine, the kind that is waffled and used to put in your kitchen cabinet to lay dishes on them. it stopped the sliding. I think they fit much better than Huskies..My only issue with Weathertech is that they stay dull after I hose them down..

I had some extra 3M film protectant that I cut to fit that area for my foot. I think the Huskies cover it.

 

as far as the drivers side, I took a thin piece of plastic mat and put it where the left foot sits and after a day or two, it formed to the hump and works great.

That’s a good idea I got some of that laying around. I constantly remind my wife to put it back in place. She is short and somehow she uses her feet and slides the mat way up under the dash.

Yeah just throw some Velcro on it and it won’t slide around. Came with the truck which I am glad because I would have hated to waste my money on these POS. Just looking for a reason to buy the husky’s

 

Im gonna forewarn you, westhertech will just tell you to velcro the passenger side.

 

Yep! I don’t know why they couldn’t just fix the problem and put some spike grip things on the bottom of the mat

 

Weathertech are great in many vehicles. Husky seems to be superior for the tundra.

Like I said I got my WT's for free, if I didnt I'd buy something else

 

I have a set Cabela's floor mats in the Tundra (no idea who they're actually made by) and a set of 3D MAXpider in my Wifes Mazda5. Both are laser fit, both fit like a glove and I'm happy with the quality of both brands. I had Weathertech in my Superduty and they did not fit well, I always ended up with dirt and debris under them. The door edge lip on my Weathertechs started to curl up, won't purchase Weathertech again.

 

This drives me nuts. Was hoping I wouldn’t have to Velcro the thing. I’ll be looking into solutions

 

I’ve tried the Velcro, and it worked for a few weeks then it came loose. I then tried hot gluing the Velcro, but it too came loose. I’m going to try the waffle pad stuff next.

 

Well I had a back and forth with Weathertech and I must say they shocked me. Kudos to their customer service.

I told them about the issue and that other Tundra owners had the same issue. And a lot of money was spent on these floor liners so it's frustrating when it doesn't fit.

They apologized and are sending me a new set of floor liners.

I asked if they were going to fix the issue and they said...... put the new liners in and if the same problem exists they will look into it further.

So new mats are on the way. I wish they would re-measure and fix it for everyone.

So if you don't like the passenger mat. Email or call them.
