Hi all. First time posting, but long time Tundra owner. I wanted to let everyone know of a leaf build-up issue I found in my 2016 Tundra Limited. I live in an area with a lot of trees and get leaves all over cowl area. When cleaning them out, with the hood open, I noticed a leaf fall into a gap at the base of the windshield at the drivers fender. Knowing how leaves caught in the lower part of a fender can over time, create rust, I removed the drivers front splash guard, and pulled the fender liner back, and sure enough, I found a ton of leaves. The passenger side did not have any in there though. This is the second fall I have been through with this truck, and both times, I found a lot of leaves. All were packed into the lower rear of the fender. Just thought I would let everyone know.

I just found that same issue when replacing my fender last Saturday. A lot of leaves. All dry as a bone. No rust. 10 yr old Tunny but fairly dry climate.

I live in Ohio, the buckle of the salt belt. Those leaves will hold moisture, salt, crap like crazy.

Just a heads up you can also access this area by opening up the driver or passenger door and pushing the flap out of the way. I check mine every time I wash the truck.

I tried to be nice about it. I’ve been trying to be more patient lately
