Looking to replace my toyo at2s (285/75-17) with falken at3w in 315/70-17 on my rock warrior wheels.

I have king c/o with camburg uniball ucas..

the toyos have a inflated section width of 11.3 inches and the falkens have a section width of 12.7.. about 1.4 inches wider.. im worried the tires may come in contact with the UCAs.

Is anyone running this tire size on rock warriors with camburg UCAs?

I dont want to run spacers, so thats out of the picture.

BTW ebay's discount tire direct store has a sale going on right now.. im looking at 4x315/70-17 falken at3w for 700 otd

I have roughly an inch of space between the closest part of my side wall and the uca .. I figured the same, half the difference of section width is roughly .7 inches. I would get the tires online so can’t really have the shop size em up for me :/

Off topic question, can you post a pic of your truck with the 285 75s? That's the size tire I'm looking to put on my truck with RW wheels and would love to see how it looks. Thanks

Tire math question: if im switching to a tire 1.4 inches wider (section width), will it be .7 in wider on the inboard and outboard side? or does the offset of the wheel contribute to which side gets more rubber.

I'm trying to visualize this in my head, and i can only see the width going to both sides evenly..

i finally found the thread where you were pretty much the guru on tundratalk..

"RW wheels with 315/70/17 BFG ATs and TC UCAs fit with NO spacers. Have to trim skid plate and remove front plastic flap thingy" your words lol..

i looked up the falken specs and bfg's and the are almost an exact match, just an extra .2" of overall diameter. reading about the TC and camburg uca's not having a fat joint like the LR UCA's gave me more confidence. plus i have a diff skid plate and removed the chinsy mudflaps already too so wheee

    falkens incoming.

    Nice!

I'm not sure about Camburg UCA since they use a 1.5" uniball and TC is 1". But I dont see why you would have a problem.

If it doesn't work, get some methods and sell the RW wheels to @Spolar and I :D

True.. but according to my calculations and the calculator you linked me, it should be roughly .6 or .7 inches more tire on each side, leaving roughly a quarter inch between the uca and tire (i hope lol)

Haven’t mounted yet, will tomorrow AM. From my calculations it shouldn’t rub. Rock warrior wheels have a lot to do with that. No cab mount chop
