No, shocks won't, or maybe I should say shouldn't change your ride height. Shocks themselves won't ever change a vehicles ride height. There are shock appications that are specific to lift height to allow for more travel. The Bilstein 5100's and 6112's that have multiple ride height settings should be on their lowest (stock height) setting for a lifted truck.

Any time . I have 5100's on mine and am very happy with them. Better than the stock 4600's but still kind of intermediate, but my truck is mostly a pavement queen lol. If I were up 6 like you are and did some off-roading I think I'd be leaning toward the 6112's on the front and 5160's on the back.

What setting do you have your 5100’s? I’m thinking of getting some. Pics?

I'm on the middle setting, 1.7 inches. Some days I wish I'd gone to the top setting but it was easy to align on the middle setting, didn't need to consider a diff drop and it doesn't have the "cali lean" look. In the not too distant future I'll be going to a 275/70/18 which I think will fill out the wheel well nicely at that height. 20170503_192622.jpg

Looks good! I’m going back and forth between the top setting and the middle. Can’t decide. Thanks for sharing the pic.

IMG_0560.jpg I have 6112s on the front at 1.9, and 5160s on the rear. I was just looking to level my truck, and it has worked out nicely. The ride is a bit better and feels more sure-footed than the stock TRDs. Installation on the rears was a snap, if you can turn a wrench, you can install them yourself. The fronts were a bit more challenging, but with a buddy and a pry bar, you can swap them out yourself as well.
