P0031 bank 1, sensor 1

    New to the forum.......I have an 03 Toyota tundra,V8...Gives me a code of P0031.says that the bank 1 sensor 1 is bad. Which sensor is this,is it the one on the exhaust manifold or the one before the converter?

    Please indulge me, I'm going to guess for the sake of my own entertainment. Driver's side closest to the engine. Here's my logic. Driver's side is Left side, we read from Left to Right thus Bank 1. Sensor closest to the engine is the upstream sensor, the one that sees the exhaust stream first thus Sensor 1. Thank you for your patience, we'll see what the professional says. Thanks.

    Not bad logic at all man! Hahaha but different manufacturers delegate their wn engines bank on different sides... just so happens bank 1 on a Toyota V8 is drivers side.
