    Ok,

Finally finished the install and took my time, I’m a neat freak so it took extra time. I took the fuse out before wiring it all up like it said, then after connecting the PNP version I out fuse in and tried them out!

This is where the WTF comes in! When I opened the drivers side, the passenger side steps opened and when I opened the passenger side the drivers side opened!

Lmao. I did the hard wire so can’t say for sure how the pnp harness works but the wiring is 100% backwards

I used the drivers side short harness wiring on drivers side and used the long harness on passenger side like the instructions state, and the pnp controller has 2 purple wires the you connect to the 2 purple harness wires were connected! Other then that that’s all!

I hooked up the under hood module and red wire to the positive on battery then plugged the 15 amp fuse back in and then the WTF happened, guess I’ll look at it tomorrow

I don’t know if it matters what side the motors go on it wasn’t specified right or left!

    Thanks

If the two wires coming from under the hood match the two on the OBD2 plug (one is a solid color, usually purple and the other purple has a grey or blue tracer) then I would say you have a faulty module. AMP customer service is really good and I'm sure they'd get you taken care of. If you call, make sure to have the module in hand, there are some numbers and a date code that they'll want.

Oh man, that sounds like how it would go for me.

I worked on a house (many, many years go) that was owned by super rich lady and her semi retired electrician /husband. He had me wire a pin switch for the pantry door, open the door, the light goes on, simple Something went wrong and I asked him for help. When I pulled the trigger on my corded drill the light went on. They're not married anymore but he and I are really good friends and he won't let me forget that one.

I was thinking about getting these down the road, but the more I read about them and the problems owners have with them, the less I want them.
