Hello all. I have a 2017 SR5 with the stock steel rims. I'm going to buy a set of the TRD 18-in. 5-spoke alloy wheels. Question is, would my existing 255/70/18 tires work on them? I believe that the tires that were on the TRD wheels were P275/65R18.

    Thanks
    Bob

Hi Bob! Your 255's will work just fine on the TRD rims. Had your truck come with TRD rims, 275/65/18 would have been the stock size.

That’s exactly what I have right now. 255/70R18 Firestone Destination on TRD OR wheels.

Thanks. Other than the rims and 50% front tint it’s stock.

Nice! Thanks guys. Now for my next question please. I understand that I would need new tpms sensors because I would like to keep the system working and I really don't want to turn them around. Can anyone point me to a reliable source with a part number for my 2017?
    Thanks

The tire shop didn’t have any problems flipping them. For what it’s worth.

Not sure on a part number but any reputable tire shop should be able to set you up with new sensors or for a little more you can get OE ones from your dealer. Not sure if they'll transfer over, but if you're not planning to keep the steel wheels you could swap them to the new wheels (if they'll transfer). If you go new, make sure to have the new sensors cloned so your truck recognizes them.

What is the biggest tire that would fit on the TRD rim without modifying the wheel well. I am trying to fill up as much of the wheel well as possible.

I put on 275/70 and just had to remove the front mudflap.
