Here is a little back story. A few months back my wife took my truck to the gym. After the gym she when to Starbucks to grab some coffee. While in the drive thru she scrapes the S*** out my truck! She hit the poll next to the menu because she didn't turn wide enough!

I went and got a few quotes to repair the damage and it's looking about $700-$900. I can get the dent taken out by a buddy no problem but the scratches. Can this be buffed out? If so, what would be the best way?

Yes I can feel them. The scratches by the wheel well are deep. I know I'm screwed there. The others don't feel that bad.

OH SHIT !!!! My wife did the same thing! Cut a corner too tight and dragged the rear right quarter panel across a parked cars bumper! I WAS PISSED!:frusty::annoyed:!! Then 3 months later she did the same thing, except to a PARKED trash truck and ripped off the rear view mirror and shattered the passenger window while I was out of town!!! Despite her whining and attempt at reasoning at me :pray:she does NOT get to drive my truck anymore! (Fool me twice....shame on me). She gets to drive her grocery wagon SUV from now on.:infantry::lalala:

I think you should just start with having your buddy get the dent out then having it polished and buffed out the best it can be and then live with it. Now if your truck was completely perfect before all this then maybe you want to just have it fixed professionally. I have let my wife drive my truck a few times. Luckily nothing is happened LOL. She wants to drive it but at the same time doesn’t. She knows how I am and would rather not be responsible for my stuff.

I agree! If I can get it to be hardly noticeable, I can live with that. Doesn't have to be perfect.
