Going low key on the SC...no stickers, no talkin, no nothing. If I could quiet the SC whine I would do that too. Want to sneak up on folks so to speak.

Is it bad that I fib to my wife about how much everything costs? And if I do tell her the cost, I spend a lot of time convincing her it was needed and will help either with the longevity of the truck, gas mileage, safety.

Mine stopped asking about stuff like this and I stopped asking about the many shoe boxes. It works for us.

Mine has stock size tires and would use the word violent rather than zippy to describe it haha!

If it makes you feel any better...I’m still riding on stock wheels and tires. Anemic looking for sure. This will change next month.

We service a newer Tundra that has the TRD supercharger installed. It's pretty ballsy!!

They finished on page 52 out of 66 last night. The intercooler is a pain in the ass...involves lots of steps. This install would take me a month. Should have another picture to post later this morning.

It's hard to make myself believe the truck is "fast" it's a big heavy pig. It'll get out of its own way but hp to weight it's just zippy. Get in a fast car and you'll understand violent. It was one of my favorite mods tho. Can't wait to hear your impressions.

Yes, off to the left side that is my FRAC Install. Looks like crap. I’ll have to tidy up those wires a bit.

I told them Tundra Dude 34’s dealer in NJ did it for $1500 so I’m expecting the same. This puts the cost of the SC plus install at $8k. I’m now feeling sick to my stomach. Keep telling myself, you saved this much buying Kevin with 21,800 miles on him.

That SC looks so sexy. I want one! I wondered if it would pass smog test in CA.

    Napkin math:
    Tundra 5240lb/500hp= 10.48 lb/hp
    Subaru STI 2734/300 = 9.11
    Corvette 3524/650 = 5.42
    450 motocross 245/55= 4.45
    Snowmobile 500/160 = 3.12

Hp/weight is decieving. If you look at numbers, my sled is a complete monster compared to anything else on that list. Is it fast? No, a Hayabusa is fast.
I am well aware it is no ferarri, lambo ect, I guess its the sheer mass of a SC tundra that gives it the sensation.
I only have motocross bikes and sleds to compare it too as I have only driven sorta fast cars (STI, 911, gt500). A 450 moto bike held wide open through 5 gears is violent, not necessarily fast if that makes sense?
My truck lit up the tires on dry roads with a sled on the sled deck and one on the trailer (my buddies first time driving it) that is a very unique feeling haha!

Don’t cut yourself short. 15.5 hp is what the instructions said, and as a man you have to round up. Let’s call it 20 hp shall we?:D

Just giving you a little advice, scrap that Bullydog tune ASAP and get a Dap tune if possible. At the very least have Toyota reflash your ecu with the trd tune. The bullydog tune isn’t safe and mine actually ran like shit. It’s a great mod and I’m happy I did it, just don’t feel like it’s worth $7/8k. At $4k I’d say it’s worth it. I I nstalled mine myself with just some basic hand tools. Magnuson provides very detailed instructions and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the kit. If you have any questions just let me know

Reading mixed results on the tune. I’ll report back you results, but I’m certain my service manager won’t let Kevin leave running like shit.

Sorry maybe should have been more specific lol. Everything was fine just didn’t feel like it was at it’s full potential. Keep in mind I’m in California and only have 91 octane available to me. Called bullydog and they had me set the tune accordingly. Truck was lifted with 33x12.50 tires at the time, would only break loose slightly from a full stop. Also not sure what they do with the trans tune but it had an irritating studder shift from 2nd to 3rd. There has been cases of blown transmissions because of this. Basically just saying there was a night and day difference going from BD to the Trd reflash.
