So, bad news - my stock Bridgestone tires were slashed last night. Probably some pissant kids. A few neighbors have said their cars were broken into at night when unlocked. But good news - I should get a nice tire upgrade and only pay by insurance $250 deductible.

I have heard good things about the Falken Wildpeak AT3, and very affordable. But if I get a larger pot of money to play with - what should I go with? Something more expensive like Toyo AT Extreme?

the Falken are really nice for the money imo. good reviews too.
I myself got the Toyo AT2 xtreme since I could get a good price on them.

I think I will go Toyo AT2 if I can get that much money from insurance.

Low amount would be Falken Wildpeak. Just need to find a 3rd, middle tier option. Maybe around $220/tire. Heard a lot of good reviews from Cooper owners. Definitely don't want to go above an AT and looking at 275/60/20 - one size above stock.

I would like to take the camera route. But I live in a condo and do not have direct view of the parking lot, so no options to set one up.

I am definitely asking about road hazard warranty or something in case it happens again. I would pay that out of pocket even.

+1, if you do any off roading. If not I would go with a less aggressive tread pattern like the Nittos. Especially up north on snow covered roads.

So, it turns out that my tires were too bald for insurance to really give me any benefit. Which I agree with. So I went out of pocket for some new rubber.

Tomorrow I am getting 275/60/20 Falken Wildpeak AT3 installed at Discount Tire. $740 or so out the door.

Maybe the ones that slashed your tires were scared for your safety and the safety of others and decided to take it into their own hands to keep you safe by forcing you to get new ones :p

Are they big enough to throw you speedometer off or no? I have seen some 2018's with the 275/60/20 in the Nitto G2. They look good and so do your wild peaks!

Dashcam with front and rear cameras might be able to catch them.

That crappy someone slashed your tires. The new kicks look great though. How's the smoothest compared to the ones you replaced?
