Always had a truck but never needed AT tires. I have read the forums and know the general info and favorites, but in reality what is the difference in road noise? On the manufactures site they often give you a cross compare, but from someone with no experience with it there is little value. Was looking at the Nitto TG2’s so if someone could compare that to the factors duehlers just to point me in the direction of some perspective of noise level increase that would be awesome bc the internet has not been helpful for a noob on this one.

I’ve only used BFG AT KO2 and no road noise. But sure about Nitto. Those that have will chime in soon.

In stock size, decibel level will be almost unchanged. Possibly perceptible without radio on. Otherwise, I doubt you'll notice much difference.

    Certainly not enough to matter.

I am looking hard at the Nitto G2s as well. I have had the Bridgstone Revos and Revo 2s before on the 2007 and don't think they will be any more than that...which was minimal

I have the terra grappler G2s and they ride great. They are a bit louder than the stock michelins though, no way around it when you add more tread. That being said, they are way quieter than a mud terrain and can be drowned out eaisly by the air conditioner or radio on low volume.

I was more than likely just going to do the stock tire size or go to a 285/55/20, so nothing to extreme. I'm prob the only guy out here not wanting to lift my truck. Just finding myself needing a little more tread these days.

That makes 2 of us. Will the 285s fit and not rub? They would be slightly wider right?.....thats what I would like to do as well

No the XSP-X comes with the 285's and a lot of other guys have them if you do a search and they say no issues. They are really just one inch wider so not a huge difference there.
