Looking for cold air intake for 18 tundra 5.7 and k@n is telling me not for 3 or 4 months still. I told them under the hood was the same as the 17 they told me no they were still testing. Gimme some input so I can pull the trigger or just hold up and wait.

Daptuning.com. Best performance upgrade for $. Google DAP tuning and cheroot Facebook page. Nothing hit rave reviews. Just for mine and love it!

Does the CAI not do a lot? Maybe add 5-10 HP and supposed better fuel efficiency?

The truck already has a cold air intake, stock. So adding a cold air intake, won't do anything, other then change the sound....best bet as a lot of people say is to use an afe dry filter and do the sabm. I have the afe and I didnt notice anything different, haven't done the SABM mod but honestly I'm not thinking cutting a hole in my truck is worth it, as I dont feel another hole into the airbox would do very much at all to add hp.

CAI = cool, swoosh sound from engine.

Tail pipes = cool sound from exhaust.

DAP Tune = more horsepower, better throttle response, better shifting, better acceleration. Money well spent.

How does the DAP tune affect gas mileage?

If anything it helps a little as you don’t have to stomp it to get the truck to downshift for passing or acceleration. Some report 2-4 mpg increase according to website, but I seem to be noticing about the same so far on my 400 miles since tune. Definitely not a decrease unless you just stomp it all the time, which is tempting.

I added the air flow accelerator and TRD filter to mine instead of the whole CAI.

$600 for remote tune, $400 if you go to his business, $425-$500 if he comes out to your area.

Does the DAP Tune need to be re-tuned when mods are added (TRD exhaust, cold air intake, etc)?

shrek says to unplug the battery for 1 1/2 hrs after adding mods so it will re-learn.
