    Hey everyone,
I've head great response from other Toyota forums about this so I want to give the Tundra their own version.I created a quick reference guild to answer some questions about how the 07+ Tundra kits are staged by Icon.

    Tundra Stages.jpg

    Note:
-All Kit prices are w/billet UCA’s. (Subtract $530.25 for Tubular UCA)
-All Kits with UCA options (Billet & Tubular) will be upgraded to Delta Joints by default.
-Uniballs UCA are still available upon request. Must specify when ordering a kit SKU.
-S2 Stage 1 and 2 prices are in addition to stage kit price
-S2 Stage 3 OMEGA Bypass (+$2,729.84) will work in conjunction with 2.5 IR Coilovers only
-Rear bumpstop system available on all stage kits and price is in addition to kit SKU.

    ***UPDATE - Added Stage 8-10***
    ***UPDATE - 2019 Pricing***

Good info, thanks. Where would the 3.0 front shocks fall in the chart / application?

    See fine print
What makes those smooth bodied shocks special?

Are all the shocks above digressive?

All of those kits include UCA's? Or, just the ones where it is pictured...? Having a hard time understanding your foot notes.

Comparing Stage 2 and Stage 3, what is the advantage of going up to to a 2.5 rear? I have been strongly eyeing the Stage 2, but now I’m wondering

The smooth bodies will be a bit better than stock. If you ever carry anything in the bed, bump up to the 2.5.

As far as I know, all Icon shocks are digressive valved. There’s a lot of conflicting info on digressive vs progressive, so do your homework and think about your use case. We went Icon specifically because of the digressive valving.

The 2.5 will take quite a bit more abuse off road, especially if you have anything in the bed.

I’m my opinion the rear 2.0 almost shouldn’t be an option.

My truck is a mall crawler, just looking for a better lift and ride than my spacer/block 3/1.5. I’m looking at keeping the height I currently have, just better. Based on your answer, a stage 2 would probably work for me. @Icon_Adrian your thoughts? If I’m not mistaken, the front coilovers provide 0-3” lift and the AAL is 1.5”...correct?

I see you hid the second resi in the skid area. Any reason to not hide both there to free up space?

I know you run hard, but are you looking for a buttery landing after you launch your shit out of one of them SPACE-X rockets with this setup????
I feel like you need some added support to hold all that suspension weight up. I’m not sure I could carry all that metal over my shoulder

I had the 2.0s and leaf pack in the rear for a while before I upgraded to a 2.5”. The 2.0s rode “smoother” but I like how firm it feels with the 2.5s now. Honestly their leaf pack feels exactly like the stock leafs, I might have gotten a little lift from them in the beginning but now they’re flat and sit on the overload with just a camper shell, spare 35” tire and a floor jack. I’m not impressed with them and will hopefully be able to change them out eventually. My .02

I'm experiencing the same with my Icon enhancement pack out back...maybe 9months max on them and already lost the lift from them. For the past two months or so I've had a 70 lb a bed rack on it. I've towed my boat and trailer maybe twice and havnt loaded it up for camping much either...

Don't really want to purchase a new leaf pack, so looking at a bandaid...maybe a shackle?

I see that the ICON shocks are designed to be more digressive than progressive. Can they be adjusted to be more linear? Is there a balance between the two? I am looking at the stage two set up with 3" coilovers adjustable front and 2.5 adjustable in the rear, bump stops with the rxt leaf springs in the rear with either option 2 or 3 depending on what my weight is after I weigh the truck. Rough estimates I am someone around 700 lbs in the back.

I would actually have preferred to mount both in the wheel well for a more optimal hose length, but since we’re running 37s, there wasn’t room for that. The bypass has a custom length hose and the bracket to mount in the sway bar location are both available through @sdhq_offroad . The 3.0 coilover has the stock length hose.

Hmmm.... I always wanted to be an astronaut.

The adjustable valving lets you make changes to the flow of the shock to suit the terrain or load of the truck. All our shocks have adjusters (the bypasses each have 2, one compression and one rebound), so we can soften or firm up the ride according to the particular trail. Some people say you can set your suspension and forget it, but we don’t like living with a compromise since this is Lisa’s daily driver. On the street we open up all the valving and it rides plush like a Cadillac. Then on mild trails we can firm it up a bit to prevent bottoming out on washes and smaller hits. If we know we’re gonna go crushing whoops and jumps at speed, we can close up all the adjusters and mash trail. We keep a log book in the truck of the different settings that work on different terrains and different weights in the truck. 10 knobs is hard to keep track of in my head.

Since they’re rebuildable, you can revalve them to be linear or even progressive. FWIW, we really like the progressive valving inside the bypasses. It allows the ride zone to be digressive and then the transition and bump zones make the overall stroke progressive. That translates to a smooth ride over the little choppy shit like washboard, and then a good resistance to bottoming in washouts and jumps.

Which is what I am looking for. You are running two bypasses correct? Can I achieve the same results with the one adjustable bypass? Sorry for all the questions, but I am old and only want to do this once:). Not looking for speed just want it to work.

In addition to the Icon leafs I have the Coachbuilder +2 shackles so I still have a little lift in the rear, just not from the stupid leaf pack.

Hahahahahaaaa!! All the knobs. I should have made a reference to Tune In Tokyo, because now I have the wrong kind of knobs in mind.

So in the front we have both a coilover and a bypass (the coilover holds up the truck, a bypass by itself can't hold the truck up). The coilover has a single adjustment for compression only, and it affects the entire stroke. The bypass has two adjustments, one each for compression and rebound, and those only affect the ride zone.

In the rear we have a bypass shock (the leaf springs hold up the truck).

The bypass shocks in the front and the rear are what allow you to have the digressive valving in the ride zone, and progressive in the bump zones (both at full compression and full droop)

I feel like I made that more complicated instead of simpler... :anonymous:

No no. You are good. I appreciate you taking the time. I am probably way overthinking this. The above is what my plan has evolved to. Will this give me enough adjustment? I obviously have more reading to do.

You mentioned you're not too concerned with speed, so you could probably skip the 3.0 coilover and use the 2.5, paired with the bypass (I assume you mean you're not trying to kill whoops or pretend like you're a Trophy Truck).

If you want adjustability and a digressive ride zone, I'd go with the following:

    Front:
    2.5 Coilover without remote resi
    2.5 Omega bypass
S2 hoop (the bypass attaches to this)
Billet upper control arm (has the most alignment adjustability)

    Rear:
RXT leafs (provide more travel up and down)
RXT Omega bypass (matches that increased travel)
Bumps (optional, but help in those big and unexpected drops or bottom outs. Keeps the rear from kicking like a donkey)
