Upgrade to bigger fuel tank

I have a 2015 sr5 double cab 6.5' bed 4.6 engine. I would like to upgrade to the bigger fuel tank. has anyone done this or have any insight on how to do this? Thanks

 

Too costly. Aftermarket is the path to take.

 

Where could I start to look for a bigger aftermarket tank? any info will help thanks

Transfer Flo is the company to look up, the tank is 46 gallons, worth every penny I paid for it!!!

The install is straight forward and bolts in the factory location using the factory sending unit, spring the extra cash and have them coat it for you with the bedliner material

The 3rd Gen Chilton Manuals aren't out yet but here's what I could pull from the 2013 manual.

 

WQW! that is a thorough answer!. Was wondering more if bolts in place or needs modifications to lines or other stock pieces.

Do you install it yourself? If yes was it pretty ez. Or did you have it installed? If yes do you mind saying what you were charged to install it?

Edit: Not free, paid for 1hr of service.
They did try to charge me for the TSB reflash. I balked and they took it off. Turns out they wrote it up as warranty and not recall. Semantics. I'm used to playing this game so no foul. It's a dealership after all. I go there for the tech. He's a 2nd gen owner and skilled/certified.

Putting the factory 38 gallon tank in would be expensive if you bought a brand new tank. The 38 gallon equipped trucks have been around long enough that you can find them at the junk yard. I got a 38 gallon tank out of a truck that was totaled with only 700 miles on it for $250. I love the upgrade.
