Does anyone have some kind of arm rest pad for their center console? I'm 6'2 and find my '16 SR5 armrest to be a tad low where I have to constantly lean to the right in order to utilize the arm rest. I find it somewhat annoying on long trips.

Here's an example of one although I'm not crazy about this one.

Cool link thanks for sharing! I'm at 5'11" I think it should be a tad higher as well

I am 6'2" as well and find the seating position, including the armrest height to be comfortable. The only thing I had to get used to were the harder seats (compared to my F-150). The seats remind me of Mercedes or BMW seats, they are also quite firm but comfortable on long trips.

Not trying to hurt anybody's feelings but that pad in the link looks terrible.

I’m 6’1”but I have to fold a towel to make it comfortable under my elbow. On long trips I also put one on the door arm rest so i sit square and don’t jack my back up sitting crooked.

Well, that's why I was asking as that's the only one I have found online.

If I wanted to have a different arm rest height I would take the lid of and take it to an upholstery shop. They should be able to add some stiff/dense foam to it, make a new cover and put it all back together. It will cost a little more but it would look a lot better, I would think that it would be less then 100.00 bucks. I had it done to seats before and it came out good.

I like this idea a lot. I’m 6’3 and find it too low. But I don’t want to lose out on my phone storage.

I have this in my Tundra just so that I do not get the factory console cover dirty and stained.

    http://a.co/hhrlMUQ

Get that and a piece of memory foam that is high enough for your liking, or find some neoprene foam. Cut the foam slightly smaller than your console and then stretch the cover over the whole thing.

That first console riser pad that you posted looks a little.....well...

Has anyone tried lowering the height of the power seat?

I bought one of these to use on long trips to keep my elbow from sweating so much, but not to increase height. I think it might work if some upholstery foam was added. Its nice terry cloth (like a towel) material. I do like the Synthetic leather look one below too because it looks like it would match the platinum interior.

This is exactly what I need except - I have wireless charging installed in the tray on the console.. Therefore I need one of these with a hole cut out in the middle.. I wonder how hard it would be to have it modified? Does it lend itself to being sewed on?

the only thing I can think is to add a big square Velcro patch into the tray to snugged the underside of the cover down to the tray. right now the cover has a gap since its not form fitted exactly.

So I received these items in and put them in. I had to cut about 1 1/2" off one side and that was it. The embroidered cloth stretches right over it. I had been driving around the last couple days with just the cloth cover and go the foam in today. I've only sat in teh truc

    UPDATE:

I received these two items. The cover is nice because it protects the armrest and keeps it from getting so hot and it makes it more comfortable. I live in Florida so it gets hot easily. I then got the foam in. I only had to cut about 1 1/2" off one side to make it fit and then cover the whole armrest.

To be honest I'm not sure foam is worth it. It adds a little comfort but if you really put your weight into it as you would when you lean to the side your arm still bottoms out on the bottom of the rest. It just compresses to easily. Then since your elbow is sunk down it puts your arm at weird angle. I took it back out and prefer just the cover.

In order to truly make it where you can rest your arm on it and stay straight you would have to put something under there that doesn't give and then that probably wouldn't be comfortable, or buy two of these pads and layer them, although then I'm not sure the cover would stretch over it.

As mentioned you also need to put something in where the tray is as it dips down there if you put anything there.

I bought one of the covers.. For me its not a comfort thing.. more of having some kind of cover for the vinyl console... I plan on cutting a hole for the tray if I can find someone that has the equipment to sew some cord or something to give it a finished edge.. We'll see how it goes!.. If it isn't embarrassing, I will post some pics when it is done.. :)

If you're talking about filling up the hole in the middle I just took two detailing clothes and folded them in half and stuffed them in there. It now has no gap.

but for those that added a wireless charging pad underneath, that wouldn't work, hence the Velcro to pull it down.

you would need a 2-3 coil charging pad to get charging field to expand far enough to negate the distance added by a armrest pad. adding extra padding underneath would put the phone to far out of the coil field to charge a phone.

Mine doesn't have near enough extra material that it could possibly be pulled down to the bottom of the tray. The top is pretty taut. If you are going to use wireless charging, you really only have two options - place the wireless pad directly underneath the cover somehow, or remove a patch of the cover so the tray can be accessed.
