Finally did it the right (and much more expensive) way. OEM from Sparks Parts.

Hopefully having mine powder coated this week. I was lucky enough to find someone who gave me his chrome ones, so I don’t have to go without during the process.

I'm ready for painted bumper ends and Cool Springs doesn't offer painting any more

Those that have painted over the chrome, how are they holding up? Why do a lot of body shops not want to do it?

What he said. I was planning on using spray on bed liner, or the duplicolor bumper trim to do mine.

I'll let you know how mine hold up over time. I'm getting them done at the end of the month. With proper prep work I'd imagine they should be fine.

I also didn't like the idea of the weaker plastic parts that seem more prone to flex and damage.

    Time will tell.

Now I’m getting nervous about pulling the sensors off. Would they just absolutely gouge you at a local dealership to match the paint and replace them there? Would they even do it?

yes plus the cost of the parts of course. so your're close to 5 bills all in. that feels a bit stiff considering the cost of the Pro grill and how much impact it has on the look of the truck.

but alas the chrome bumper ends just fight the look. i'll probably give in today and order the ends.

I got mine done a couple weeks ago by a body shop for $500. they did all the work i just dropped the truck and pro grill off i think it was a good deal, they did the following:
    media blasted the:
    front bumper caps
    rear bumper caps
    mirror covers
    door handles
    grill surround
    hood buldge

they took all that off and then put it all back on and replaced the stock grill with a pro grill.
hopefully i can sell the stock grill for like $100 and only have $400 in all that stuff, not counting the cost of the pro grill.
i was happy with it considering all i had to do was drop it off.

A local shop here in Northeast PA is powdercoating my ends for $80. I will take him the ends...he does the prep and powder and I reinstall. For that price I'll give it a shot.

I do know that I am going to remove the whole bumper assembly then remove the ends rather than just the ends.

$510 delivered and used promo code “tundradude34”. I had to pay tax too since I’m in SC. Yes, steep but I’m going blackout.
