Hey I'm the proud new owner of a used tundra. It's a 2012 TRD rock warrior. Love the looks on this truck. Love the power of the 5.7. And I love the ride and drive ability of it. I previously owned a 05 powerstroke that was heavily modified. I had alot of power but no reliability. After 18 grand and still struggle to pull my 3000k camp trailer yes it's a tiny camper, not a typo Lol I traded it for my tundra. I came to the idea because I work in a trailer shop and install asesories/hitches on trucks. We have a customer with 300k on his tundra and pulls a 32ft 5th wheel with it...has since it was new! Love the truck and can't wait to start building it!

In 2005, place where I work bought several new f350's with the 6.0 powerstroke. No lie they spent more time back at the dealership being fixed then they did on the road. If I remember correctly, all the problems were EGR related and head gaskets. No one wanted to drive them in fear of being left on the side of the road. Ford should have stuck with the 7.3 IMO.

Yes that was part of the problems. I deleted the egr system. I studded the performance heads and installed a sinister oil cooler...installed remote coolant filters. I had the engine tore down and everything replaced but the block...everything under the hood was replaced...hence the 18grand...only made it 20k miles and the new hp oil pump went out...then I lost a new injector then I smoked a turbo while at the track....lol fixed them problems and the truck wouldn't pull my trailer without defueling...lol tundra hasn't missed a beat and in fact smoked my buddys 6.0 and my tundra is stock...46000 miles on it...

"At the track". Drag racing I presume. That won't help an engine at all but I'm sure it's fun.

Kinda...lol wasn't dragging the truck but it wouldn't pull my drag car trailer. I over built the truck to be a drag truck but being it was my only truck I didn't run it as one. I did a mild tune on it for pulling. I just have a car trailer and a camp trailer. I run a drag car for racing. I do admit that I ran the tundra down the track once just to shut up my buddies about the toyota thing...it worked. Lol

    Not nearly enough room here!
From what I've read,Ford was forced into the sorry 6.0 because the EPA Nazis wouldn't '"bless" the 7.3 with their approval any longer.

Welcome to the site, I like your Hudson, its not something you see everyday, is that what they call a bullet nose? And what are you using for a drivetrain.

Ford is building their own diesels now. Should be different. Not standing up for Ford, just telling it how it is.
I have just bought a 2014 Platium Tundra. Love it. Had a 2010 F150, saw this tundra and loved it. I think it is bigger than the Supercrew Ford. I have the Crewmax truck. Not as good with gas as the Ford but no biggie. The 5.4 is similar to the 5.7 in gas mileage.
