I removed both and it was a bit more than I liked with my Icons. So in November when I rebuilt them I upgraded to Eibach 700lb springs and it’s back to feeling perfect just like I have a sway bar. So to those thinking of dropping thousands on secondary shocks for sway control, if that’s the only reason try upgrading the springs first.

So I removed my rear sway bar a couple months ago and haven't missed it. Yesterday I removed the front and took for a drive down my windy, pot hole filled, mount road and was really impressed by how much better the shocks seemed to work. I'v got ADS with 700lb springs and the body roll was far less than I'd feared and with how much better (independent) it feels I'm pretty happy.

Awesome I'm glad you like it! I love mine without the sway bar. Took that shit out the night I installed my suspension :)

I should've done it a long time ago. The 700lb springs have been too harsh with the sway bar. Now it feels so much better.

I'm sure the 700 lbs springs help too.

feedback after driving for a week without the front sway bar:

front end feels looser and more "free". I feel The Kings soak up the bumps better now and rolling over dips feel even better.
I have to slow down when taking sharp turns since now I don't have a front sway bar.

I still have the rear TRD sway bar on for now.

    Will keep monitoring :spy:

Try taking the rear out too. With the rear still on I think it's causing more dip on the low side in front when cornering. What's your spring rate? Mine are 700lb. which I always thought was too much until I pulled the front sway bar.
@joonbug and I were out doing some suspension testing today!

The rear sway bar links don't have to come out to test it. They'll just fold up toward the rear bumper and hang out parallel with the frame. Might be worth experimenting.

Take the rear off you will be fine. I think my springs are 650.

    See fine print
@TheBeast i just took off my front bar and kept my TRD rear. It feels better on the streets. Soaks up bumps better and ride is smoother. Works good with the toytec/radflo 700lb springs.

Removed mine, it's my daily driver. Truck rides 100% better and the sway is not noticeable since i upgraded suspension all around. No chance in hell i'd ever put it back on.

Took off both front and rear sway bar for a week and it rides smoother now. Had a 700lb. TT radflo and shackles in the back.

Personally I half jokingly think that sway bars are a conspiracy to make cars less fun to drive.

I am considering taking off my sway bars, but I do a considerable amount of highway driving with my family and pull a trailer at times. What are your thoughts and recommendations on this?

I’ve towed multiple vehicles several hours, driven thru several states towing a small trailer and the only time I noticed a difference and wish I had it was while towing a 26’ camper in a good wind.

I say do it and see. I feel with aftermarket suspension like you have, they stiffen things up enough to make it not a problem. I've only towed once so far though and dind't have any issues.

I kept the front for now and removed the rear. I always wondered in case of accident what the insurance would say if you removed the oem front sway bar.
I did grind the front sway bar ears so it would clear my coilovers. Similar to the TRD sport front sway bar.

Do you have upgraded coilovers already? If you do I say do it. I do lots of highway driving on trips with my family it will be fine. Several guys on here tow with no sway bars and are fine. I wouldn't recommend pulling it on stock suspension though.
