Bro, I have a freshly built motor sitting in my shop. And I’d be willing to bet that the door and the small ding is the on the cab/bed is the only problem with it. I have a door you could have, though it might be orange;)

It’s gonna be a vehicle my kids would share. I feel a gamble vehicle would be irresponsible to put my daughter in to drive over Hoosier Pass daily

Searched but couldn't find any YES or NO answers...

Does CO allow rear facing Amber lights? I don't see anything regarding Amber being illegal to run. Only Red, Blue, and Green being illegal. The reason I'm asking is I'd like to run my rear Dust/Safety light when conditions are very very poor or nearly white-out. It can be ran steady or flashing, plus the brightness can be adjusted to ensure I'm not blinding everyone. :D

Stupid question, but wouldn't doing that make it seem to cars behind you that someone is driving in the opposite direction in their lane? I know I would freak out if I saw amber lights looking at me in my lane. Just a thought.

Someone could also think the same with amber hazards on. Not too often people are flashing their amber lights while driving in a straight line :)

LOL. Some people do, but I believe that is illegal. I see it all the time when snowing; people driving with their hazards blinking.

It's legal to run your hazards when conditions are poor. Which makes me think I'll be fine if the light is flashing and not steady (also not blinding). Worse case I get stopped and pretend I'm just like any other clueless Californian

    (7) Any vehicle may be equipped with lamps which may be used for the purpose of warning the operators of other vehicles of the presence of a vehicular traffic hazard requiring the exercise of unusual care in approaching, overtaking, or passing and, when so equipped and when the said vehicle is not in motion or is being operated at a speed of twenty-five miles per hour or less and at no other time, may display such warning in addition to any other warning signals required by this Code. The lamps used to display such warning to the front shall be mounted at the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and shall display simultaneously flashing white or amber lights, or any shade of color between white and amber. The lamps used to display such warning to the rear shall be mounted at the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, except as provided in section 215.5, shall show simultaneously flashing amber or red lights, or any shade of color between amber and red. These warning lights shall be visible from a distance of not less than five hundred feet under normal atmospheric conditions at night.

Better to see nothing or a little Amber flashing light? Just trying to be safe and somewhat legal :D

In conditions like that you shouldn't be fucking driving. Save a first responder's life by not risking yours.

ps not yelling at you, just ranting at all the f'n moron's in this state that decide to go out when they shouldn't (and anywhere else for that matter)

right. I've been in it plenty of blizzards and windy snow storms, just gotta drive slow and/or stop during a whiteout. but way too many people in these mountains are idiots. the second there's 2 inches on the ground they freak out and do dumb shit, let alone 6. stay on the couch!

I agree with you 100%. Thinking if I was caught in a storm and needed to be on the roads. I don't see a point in chasing storms or blizzards.... some do :der:

I mean, i definitely will chase a storm for a good pow day, but i get out before the storm rolls in and leave when it's over. it's always fun cleaning off your vehicle when there's 2 feet of fresh pow on it!

I agree. Let the people that need to be out in storms do whatever it is they do and go home.

Some 4x4 clubs give Doctors and Nurses, first reponders rides back home. That was always fun.

In major blizzards, we (organization I’m employed with) would loan out to the Sheriff department our snow cats (2) for search and rescue. Those are bad ass!! Little 4bt Cummins that will sip fuel all day long while helping out people in need.

Yo! Specky, I drive in that shit quite often. Does it make me a f’n moron when it’s like this and Im just getting off work, and my kids still need to make it home from school or work after the high Rockies just got hit? It’s ignorance like this that prevent guys like Bailey from taking precautionary measures.

    @BaileyJ
I wouldn’t have a problem running ambers as rear lights in inclement weather. I would probably run them as thoughtfully as you would Amber sports or pros, rarely, and not while in bumper to bumper traffic.

I see these mountain drivers daily. Trust me, there would be very few wrecks in these “mountains” if the tunnel would shut the F down and block the dipshits from coming up here.

So, my new cogs and carrier will be here in the next couple of days (thanks Kieth@dirtydeeds). Can anyone recommend a place to have them installed down here in my neck of the woods? I know of one place, just looking for more options. Thanks in advance.
