I’ve put some money in MODS from better suspension, aftermarket wheels, tires, headlights, PRO grill etc and by far the most satisfaction I get is with the the gut of the stock sound system. Listening to very clean sounding music is some great therapy.
Anyone on the fence that enjoys music needs to put it at the top of their list.

This is about all that is visible.
    Kenwood Dnx574s Head unit.
    Focal speakers up front
Kicker KS series in back doors
    Small sub and amp.
JL audio going in dash corners when they come. I listened to some classic Petty on the way home from work and could hear every instrument going around the truck. Sounds I had not heard from the stock setup.
Man, it brought good memories back from my younger days.

Im sure there is piles of info but im lazy. Did you start fresh and get rid of factory amp and everything else? I have the jbl system, it is the nicest stereo i have ever had but it still kinda blows.

I had the non -JBL system so I had no sub to begin with. I did just basically start all over. I know there is some type of JBL “enhancement kit” you can buy for your set up but the cost isn’t much less than what I did. The Focal speakers I installed IMO are far better than the stock JBLs and the Kenwood head unit has the power to get the best out of the speakers.

Agree with OP. The stereo upgrade is by far my favorite upgrade. Only thing I didn’t change was the HU, mostly because I’m not a huge fan of how the aftermarket kits look in the dash.

Man, that head unit looks great. Is any of the current functionality of the HU lost by swapping? I'd assume backup camera and everything stays. Looks like you loose nothing, and gain android auto, navigation, etc, etc, etc the list goes on.

Is there a PNP harness for this unit into gen 3 Tundras?

    Thanks!

Really, the only thing I lost was the Navigation showing up in the instrument cluster but to be honest the Stock NAV was terrible IMO so I didn’t care. The Garmin in my new unit is a lot better. I also have the option to add a front camera with the new unit which I may do.
