In new to the lifting truck thing. I bought a 2016 tundra and was wandering what offset do I need for my tires to stick out past my fender a finger or two.

Welcome, post some pics of your truck. The answer to your question depends on the width of the tire. But, generally +25- +30

Nuteko there are a few factors involved with your set up you want. 1st off are you keeping you factory rims ? What size tires are you looking to go with . What size lift. Negative offset will push you out farther .

@chphilo, has a set up close to the pic you posted. I believe he's running a +18 offset with 295/70/18 tires . Of course with that set up you will have raise the front. Hopefully he will post a pic.

I'm going with a 6" lift with 35" tires and I would want my tires to stick out from the fenders about 2 or 3 finger

That truck above is a good 3” past the bumper corner. No way it’s positive. 0 offset is usually a little over 2”.

Nuteko, I'll take the hit, didn't mean to confuse you . You can have stick out/ aggressive stance with a positive offset. I didn't know you were wanting a very aggressive stance. Don't forget the fender flares .

no offense taken, he was talking maybe a super aggressive offset so I copied the first aggressive picture I found. If it was maybe half that offset i think it would look alot better

I agree. I was running +12 without fender flares and mine stuck out a bit, to get that amount of protrusion with fender flares it must have been -12, -18, -24, possibly even more (hard to distinguish 6mm from a picture). Definitely negative.

Picture it this way. Your stock rims have a +65 offset if I recall. -12 would bring your wheel out 77mm from where it currently is, + 1/2 of any additional wheel width you add. You can see almost exactly where the tires will stick out to with some basic math and a measuring tape.

Ya I want 12.5 35" and not super aggresive stance but have of the one up there that was ridiculous. So I'm looking between a -12 to a -24
