hello new to forums. I hear a low pitch air sound like a turbo like sound from the engine. I opened it up I noticed it does have a trd air intake not aftermarket with a sticker filter can be cleaned with cleaner that can be bought at Toyota. I'm thinking that the turbo sound hiss i am hearing when acceleration happens right. its not alot but i hear it during some accelerations. I have a 5.7 lit crew max with the tow package extra torq that what sales man told me like I said I opened engine it does say trd on the air intake take cover. any thought if I'm right.

If its a whistle sound its normal due to more air going into the intake. There is a screen in the throttle body that is causing the whistle.

Yeah if its the one that says trd on the top piece, it also should have a rubber air accelerator going into the pass side fender to grab the air better.

This, totally normal with an upgraded intake. Cheap part and easy fix. If not, it doesn’t hurt anything.
