I loved my 2008 Tundra, had it for 263000 miles,
My 2018 tundra has more issues after 2 weeks than my 2008 after 10 years!
Window problem, Vibrations, dash noises, clunks, what will next week bring?
Just getting a runaround from the dealership,
looks like my 3rd Tundra will be my last.

Sorry you are having trouble with yours. Maybe it is worth a shot to change dealers since a good service writer can be the difference between a good or bad experience.

That sucks bro. Go straight up the ladder to Cooperate Headquarters. You shouldn't have to go through the BS your going through. I would be livid. Were talking a lot of money invested . Unusual there giving you the runaround on a 2018. Hope you get it worked out Jeff, because me and you both know if you jump ship your gonna regret it.

In the back of the manual should be a number to corporate. My wife’s 07 rav4 had rear end issues. Local dealership said they couldn’t get the part for 2 months. And that we shouldn’t drive the car. I asked what my wife was supposed to drive in the mean time and they said idk. So I called the number only to find out that our issue was a national recall. And I said we need a rental car. Needless to say corporate handled the situation and our local dealership got a rental car from enterprise for use which didn’t cost a dime. And they put our car above others to get it fixed. And we’ve never had any issues with the dealership ever since. So worth a shot in my opinion.

I had dinky little issues with mine. Sitting at the dealership one day I went to the Toyota support site and wrote them an email. They called me 2 days later and were a huge help.

I've had no issues with mine. I'm not thrilled with the "premium" sound system, but otherwise I'm very happy. I went from a '13 CM to an '18 CM.

Absolutely no issues with mine (had to fix the premium stereo though). Like others said, if the dealer service department gives you the run around I would try the general manager first and ask him he wants to keep you as a repeat customer. If that doesn't help its time to get Toyota involved.

Small issues with a new toyota are not widespread, and seem to be a low percentage. Small issues and even bigger issues are the norm with other makes and models. Just something to chew on. If you think those issues are annoying, you could always buy a 3 liter V6 full sized ford truck that sounds like a honda civic and spends most of its time getting fixed. Its all about perspective.

No issues with mine so far either. 4700 miles so far. I hope none pop up any time soon.

Machines are made by man and will never be 100%. Bound to be a few bad ones out there.

You know it is funny you bring this up because I was actually thinking the same thing when I "upgraded" from my 2007 SR5 to the 2017 Pro. The 2007 just felt more substantial. I mean everything from the feel and weight of the sun visors to the lid on the center console. Another thing I miss on my 2007 is all the little open/close compartments everywhere for things like loose change and receipts or what not. My 2007 had dual climate control, turn signal lighting in the side view mirrors and proximity sensors. The Pro, which is also based off of the SR5 model has none of those things. I'm a little disappointed because I assumed the 3rd gen would be better than the 2nd gen, but maybe I'll just put my hope in the 4th gen.

Sounds great, yeah wife had a 2007 Honda Civic and in 2015 she got a Toyota Camry and wow the Camry outshines the Honda in every way! I have the White Tundra and she has the white Camry!

I had my 2010 Tundra SR5 and traded it for my 2017 and wow I miss the features of the 2010! Let’s just hope the next gen won’t have less features then the 3rd gen!

Totally agree. I loved my '16 Limited and love my '18 Platinum even more. Never had an issue with my '16 and don't believe I will with my '18 either. For entertainment purposes over the past year I test drove a LTZ Z71, Ram Rebel and 3.5 Ecoboost FX4 and each one made me love the Tundra even more.

@JBang welcome to the forum. Post a note in the new members thread and introduce yourself and post pictures of your '18 and your '08. I've seen a few folks complain about TSS issues on '18s, but haven't seen anyone on here have any of the issues you're having. Strange. Like others suggested, you may want to try a different dealer.

    This right here.

Corporate wont do shit. My truck seat bracket was broken somehow. I can rock it back and forth. Dealer where I got it from (dad works there) wont do shit. From the service manager to the head tech to regional advisor said it was all normal and within measurement. However the regional advisor refused to speak to me and show me their specs. Corporate wont do shit since their advisor said it was normal. Went to another dealer. Advisor said that wasnt normal and hes seen this issue in alot of tundras esp 1794. Got it replaced a week later.

My '18 Limited has dual climate control and proximity sensors. It all depends on the package you got.

I find this thread amusing. Does anyone test drive vehicles anymore? Do some people just buy a model to have a status? Seriously? If you don’t like some of the features on a vehicle, buy a different model, or even make for Lords sake. There are actually other vehicle manufacturers out there (gasp).
