We have threads showing off everyone’s gun and knife collections, how about watches? I’m kind of obsessed with them. I don’t own any Rolexes, or anything stupid expensive, but I do own over thirty. My favorite brands are Reactor and Bulova. I have one Tag, a few Citizens, and a few others.
Most people haven’t heard of Reactor, but they make some really awesome, heavy duty watches, with some pretty unique designs. I get tons of compliments on them. I recommend you giving them a look: https://reactorwatch.com/

My current project is putting them together in a drawer instead of having multiple display cases.

That is a sweet collection! I have a few citizens but for the most part I have stopped wearing watches.

Thank you sir. I’ve always worn one as long as I can remember. I go nuts if I don’t have one on. Growing up, my parents were late for everything. I didn’t even know there were trailers before movies until I was a teenager. Guess it made me super conscious of time.

Kind of makes it easy to shop for me. A running joke I have is that every time my wife asks what I want, I say “I wanna watch”, and she’s just misunderstood me for years.

Time to own a Rolex, or a Panerai, most people look at the higher brand watches and see them as stupid. The reality is, those watches don't always depreciate in value.

There's one example where an older gentleman who bought a Rolex while serving in Europe for $120. In the recent past, the watched appraised for 65k-70k.

Not bashing what you like, and you have a great collection. Including the classic Mickey watch.

Another brand that is making a name in the market is Shinola from Detroit. Really clean and classy styles worth wearing.

This drives my wife nuts, I have a Rolex Submariner GMT Master 2, 2 Tag Aqua Racers, several Citizen Eco-Drives and several Casio G Shocks. When we go to the mall I have to look at the jewelry stores for watches and if its a big box store and we get separated she just automatically goes to where the watches are. :bananadance:

I saw that episode you’re talking about. It was great seeing that guy light up. Not bashing Rolex at all, they’re the top brand for a reason. I just don’t have Rolex kind of money, and probably never will. The Tag I have was a couple grand, and I only have that because my wife bought it for me. A Rolex would cost about as much as my whole collection did.

I’ve also never seen one I was just in love with anyway. I’ll check out Shinola.

Same here. Just got my first Eco-Drive for my birthday. We can’t go to any store without me checking out their stock. Surprisingly, Costco usually has a very nice offering.

I've just recently gotten into watches. I have a couple g shocks and wanting some more LOL

definitely need to look into getting some nicer ones. G shocks and suits just don't mesh :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:

I have more watches than I need. But I see a new one and have to get one, ha. I dont have any of the "luxury" brands. They are cool and all but I dont see the point. You can get the same look on many other brands that are still high quality. I also like the bigger, 50mm+ watches, and a lot of those big names dont make them that big.

I have Aragon/Android, Invicta, NFW, Renato. Aragon is my favorite right now and a big show coming up on Evine tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll buy another one, or two, ha.

I like the bigger ones also. That’s why I like Reactor. Most of them are pretty heavy. They run in the $300-$1500 range for the most part.

I don’t have any G-Shocks, but they do make some stainless ones that would go well with a suit. I also don’t own any suits though. Haven’t worn one since my wedding in 1994.

I own a couple of suits.....I like to wear them to weddings, funerals, and the occasional romantic dinner out with doc.

Haven't seen the stainless g shock.....I'm partial to gunmetal, but not opposed to stainless by any means.

I love my gshocks. Perfect for the gym, comfortable for every day wear, not to mention, they look badass LOL

Definitely check them out. They look pretty nice. I like the looks of the G-shocks, but the bands are uncomfortable to me. I hear they can take a beating also.

love the g-shocks, I have 3-4 that I can just throw around and bang on everything lol

no pics on my phone, but gotta love the internet. I love watches because they hold value, look great, and can be passed along for generations if you take care of them.

My most prized is my Tag Heuer Aquaracer. Something about the shine, I love the color and feel it looks classy. I also had 2 Tag Heuer Formula 1s, but just recently sold the white one to a buddy of mine. maybe one day ill ball out and get a Rolex haha

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

My Pops got me into watches and he's building quite the collection: Rolex GMT II, Rolex YatchMaster, Rolex Datejust, and a Tag Heuer but I forget the model.

There is a Gryphon in my pic, and the larger version, the Titan (the orange one). Love them both. Only problem with Reactor is that not many stores carry them. I get most from Amazon.

You're probably not going to find it unless it's on ebay or something. It was a limited edition run, I have # 19/55. There was also a stainless with a navy face that had more made of it, but that was several years ago. It's an Autopilot, which he has several other designs. I also have one of the Chris Kyle Frog watches. It's one of my smaller watches actually, but the square case design make it wear bigger.

I wore a 1st gen Pathfinder for several years. Got the latest version now. The sensors are fairly accurate. Some people complain about the temp sensor always being "off". You have to remove the watch off your wrist and wait a couple minutes like the instructions state. :cookiemonster:

typical.....assume something's wrong without reading the manual!

"my car started acting funny at only 30K miles and died on me shortly after.....I don't know why" "well when was the last time you brought it in?"
"I dunno......when I bought it new" "wait.....you've never had an oil change in 30K miles?" "Was I supposed to?" "...............I didn't think that kind of stupid existed......."

Literally a true conversation I had with my sister in law not too long ago.
