What options are out there for standard size Pro tires? Obviously more aggressive than the Michelins that come on our Pros. Doing a google search makes me think there aren’t many options.

Most “aggressive tread” tires do come in OE replacement sizes or slightly larger, it’s not just 34’s to 37’s. What size are you looking at?

If I search by the original size P275/65R18 it seems like the Cooper SST Pro is about the best option. I was curious if I was missing something or if I needed to change tire size to get better options.

I just looked up 275/65-18 on TireRack.com. You have options from KO2’s to Wranger Duratracs to General X3’s, and that site doesn’t have any Nittos or Toyos listed. A lot of those are an LT tire, which to me these trucks ought to come with from the factory anyway.

Check the MasterCraft brand of Cooper. Courser HTX or Courser HSX I think

I had the new KO2s on my truck when I purchased. I loved them. I did only have them for 6k miles, but they rode great and had a little attitude to them.

currently, I'm running the Cooper SST, now a 37x13.5. Ive got 11k miles on them and they are in great shape. They're a mud tire, so they're a little more noisy, but 37 is a lot of tire.

I don't think you could be wrong with either one of these.

my brother ran Nittos on his last tundra and had nothing but problems. so I stay away from nitto all together, but that's just my 2 cents.

I've had Nitto Trail Grappler for over three years now and it has been flawless.

I am not sure what you are looking for. Toyo MT seems to be offered in 275/65/18 (Nitto Trail is not, but Nitto Exo Grappler and Ridge Grappler are offered in 275/65/18 also). I see so many other good options offered (many more than 295s I am currently running). I don't see this lack of option you are talking about.

I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 275/70/18. They are quiet and don't wander on the highway. Seem to be wearing well and do great on the snow and ice here in Montana. I will definitely be buying another set down the road when these need to be replaced.

@Vendeta2k Do those Nitto Ridge Grapplers come with any kind of mileage warranty? 50k? 60k?

I did not see anything listed on their website.

I never saw anything about one when I bought mine. Granted I bought 295/70’s, that may have something to do with it.

@Patriot I don't believe they come with any kind of mileage warranty. I decided to go with them based on other recommendations around the site and not wanting to pay Toyo prices that included a warranty.

You are correct they do not, I just checked their web page, no mileage warranty.

Go one size up. 275/70/18. Falken wildpeak at3w. Has a 55k mile warranty. Wont break the bank. Wont hurt mpg. Look similar to KO2's. I had a pro for a while with these tires and loved em. Google them. They will be going on my 2018 limited soon, different size of course tho.

@BlueBottle do you think/know if the 305's will fit the stock TRD OR wheels with Bilstein 6112 at 1.9"?

305's on stock wheels will rub the UCA unless you use spacers.

It should clear if you remove both flaps and move the front liner forward but like Netmonkey says i think it will contact the uca. I thought I saw someone w stock wheels run these size tires but can’t remember who.

are the TRD OR wheels 20x9 or 20x8? if they are 20x9, I think they have a +50mm offset. if so, then you can run 295's.

here is a 295/55/20 on a 20x9 +50mm offset wheel. there is a pinky width of clearance from the tire to the UCA.

hmm.... without spacers, you should be able to fit a 285 or maybe a 295
