Interesting read! The more I keep looking for toys after I pay off the tundra the more I keep thinking stop putting more money into the tundra but save for the toy and mods for it. I like high speed desert offroading which the size of our trucks doesnt matter but everything else the tundra is too wide for it hence why Im looking for which toy to get. The toy would be used mainly for high speed offroad but I want it to be good at other types of terrain, maybe long travel it where the additional wheel travel has advantages. I just cant decide between a used land cruiser, tacoma, 4runner or fj cruiser (sigh)...........

I had a 2000 100 for a few years, while single. Had Slee do the lift and tires. Loved that truck so much. Drove it over every pass around here. Beat it up and passed it on before the repairs got big. New wife and i like to sleep inside when we get up early for hikes so a truck suited us better, she’s 6’ I’m a bit over, the 100 was a little too short inside. Now they’re even figuring it how to eliminate the Nav with integrated hvac (ih8mud.com). Find one with high miles and rock n roll.

I bounce around the Carbondale area quite a bit. I miss hitting up BIA in El Jebel before a long float on the river.

BIA is great! Hoping to find a float boat this year, but we’re low on storage space, so the truck might sleep on the street soon :pout:
